Don't let the title fool you - this is not another sweet Hallmarkesque movie - though I also enjoy Hallmark at times. This movie is gritty. It reveals the face of homelessness and greed. Yet the forces of love and integrity with some help from Spirit, counteract the poverty and treachery and lies. The main character is a man whose losing his business, inherited from his grandfather. For most of the movie, we are left wondering whether he is a greedy jerk or a man of integrity. The hero is really not the main character! He's a child and he's the source of the inspiration of this film. I should not say more.

If you've ever owned your own business, you will relate. If you have faith or even just a desire to see goodness prevail, you'll be jazzed by this. If you've ever experienced a situation where forces lined up against you and you were helpless to fight them, this is for you. It's completely family-friendly; children would be entertained and energized in positive ways by this movie. However, it would be a good idea for parents to monitor as there are some scenes protraying the face of homelessness that might be upsetting even to the most cynical, savvy child or teen.

Pro's:
- A positive movie that is grounded in reality.
- Great characters and casting!
- Photography is very professional - not cheesy
- Classy script - doesn't give things away before they should be revealed, but does have some well-executed foreshadowing
- Surprise twists; ending not predictable
- Family-friendly and should be watched with adults present IMO

Cons:
- Acting could be better at times; makes me wonder if budget constraints forced them to use a few clips before it could be perfected. They still pulled it off!

God loves us and He wants us to share our love through caring words and deeds.

I really loved this movie. It demonstrated the Spirit of Christ and the love the Father wants us to have one for another. Not for selfish gain but for the sake of being helpers and lovers of one another because God said so. Having faith in the Lord to make things possible is the essence of who He made us to be if we only believe and trust in Him. This movie demonstrates how God placed us all on this Earth for a purpose and it is to serve and love one another in whatever way He has blessed us to be who we are. We all have a purpose even if it appears to be insignificant to ourselves it is a piece of a much larger purpose.

I was very surprised that a low budget movie could be so good. The storyline is believeable and engaging. The acting is very well done! The kid steals the show. I do not always review a movie but I do encourage everyone to give this one a view. It is well worth watching!

Pray, have faith and just believe!

Great movie with a powerful message of faith. A little boys love and faith helps to change an entire town during the Christmas season. This movie has violence in it. More than I would like. A story of hope. Very heartwarming and inspirational despite the violence. It's also a love story on many levels. You will understand when you see it. A definite must see film. Do you believe? If not you might just believe after you see this movie.

I was looking for a nice uplifting spiritual story, it reeks of 'atlas shrugged". Can't they leave the politics out of christmas???
