A movie that knows exactly what it is and nothing more

I don't understand the people criticizing this film for being overtly graphic. The front cover features a man brandishing a blunt object with blood splatters everywhere; it shouldn't come as a shock that the film would contain lots of bloodshed. If you come into it expecting Citizen Kane then that's your own problem.

Having said that, if you take the movie for what it is then you'll enjoy it. There's nothing particularly special going on here and the concept has been done by better films (Battle Royale), but I always enjoy movies like this because it makes you wonder what you'd do if placed in that situation. I wouldn't buy it at full price, but if you can get it for cheap it's worth the purchase.

Awesome. Yes, it is as good as you have heard

I loved this movie. I first heard about it as a recommendation on Red Letter Media from Jay Bauman. Yes, it is as good as he said it was. I really enjoyed it. Great concept, excellent gore effects (but not a gore-fest, it's not overdone), great acting, great characters, and some great twists. This is a fun movie to watch and you won't be disappointed. Give this one a chance and watch it. Go watch Red Letter Media and see what they have to say about it, they are spot-on with this one. Really good.

A better movie than most reviewers will give credit for.

This IS a splatter movie. View it as such. That being said, if you enjoy the genre, it's definitely worth a watch. Most criticisms I've heard are regarding a lack of complexity and "social relevance". IT'S_A_HORROR_MOVIE. Mostly, it just seems to be a case of a movie that people love to hate. Plus, it shows just how low and how quickly people will sink in order to survive. I think the mildly Orwellian theme is good enough to give the story a purpose.

Office Space Meets Hunger Games

Great twist on the Battle Royale / Hunger Games style of work. As a businessman by day this made me laugh and had some good action. I recommend this to anyone who wants a non-drama night. Fun, action packed, funny, and pretty creepy.

an unethically violent movie is just plain killing on a wholesale level. A disturbing and foolish movie that only could be entertaining to a few people at best. Pulp Fiction had a plot or several plots compared to this monotone flick. Good actors do most anything to be in another movie and this film proves it! B actors in a C film. STUPID, NOT WORTH ANYTHING!

Interesting movie if you like social experiment movies

This movie was action packed enough to keep my attention, but still had an original enough storyline to not seem like a rip off of another movie. If you are into sociological experiments, like the Stanford Prison Experiment, and can handle a moderate amount of blood and gore, you will like this.

Violent and gory

I don’t want to give away any spoilers so I’ll just say that I found it entertaining. A forced experiment on the will to live and what you would do to survive. If you liked The Purge movies or the Saw series you might like this. I wouldn’t say that it’s too similar to those movies though.

Very enjoyable

I really was surprised by this movie and I really liked it. I've recommended it to a few people already. There are several actors in it you will recognize when you see them and it's well acted. The movie really makes you think about people and psychology. Keep in mind though, there are several intense and very explicit violent scenes.
