It begins well enough but then the writer starts adding all manner of things like he's got a monster checklist to finish. Just because you can put chocolate on mac-n-cheese doesn't mean you should. The thing is, some of the ideas were interesting but deserved their own stories.
Characterization needs work as well. The characters personalities are all over the place and not in a good way. Some character threads are started and then just sort of let go and you wonder why it was in there as it really added nothing to the overall story.
The story has a number of 5 star reviews. I can only assume they are paid reviews or done by friends/family. One is evident that the person didn't read the book because it doesn't mention anything after the first few chapters.
Ultimately the story comes off as nonsensical and disappointing.
