Grace never lets boys too close, because she has to protect her heart. So when Brad lets the "l word" slip, she's gone. But then she realizes she really was in love with him all along. True to Best Girl fashion (even though Grace is a Marshall, the girls have all adopted Best Dating Rules), Grace and Brad must fight through a comedy of miscommunication and diverted apologies.
I liked the diversion into the Marshall girls, and hope we get to see more of them. Marshall Law is almost as hilarious as the Best Dating Rules. At least Grace can admit to herself that she's in love (even if she won't tell Brad), unlike the Best girls!
Josh kissed her twice and was immediately changed from his previous role as an experienced player of the female field. He had numerous physical relationships, but none that had meaning.
All their friends get involved in getting the two of them to admit they love each other, except the ones involved are all going against each other, until Charlie gets injured on a skiing trip.
finally everyone comes together and forces the two of them alone so they can finally admit they love each other.
An excellent story on the dynamics of building a relationship by working with each other and communicating honestly instead of keeping your thoughts and feelings to self.

I doubt that chastity before marriage has ever been such saucy fun until Ms Dearen put her own inimitable spin on the good clean romance genre. The line between smut and puritanism has rarely been tweaked so enchantingly, with just the right amount of yearning and heat applied in all the right places that makes the Best Girls books suitable for young-hearted romantics of any age. Go get yourself a contemporary helping of Doris Day in lurve - you won't be disappointed!
Although she attempts to make things right between them, one of Brad's colleagues has other ideas and has set her sights on the doctor for herself. A series of misunderstandings, manipulation and missed chances happen. Can they work through all the hurdles in their way to be together?
Got bored after the first couple of chapters. Irritating heroine and pathetic hero. They deserved each other.
