Six words. The. Best. Show. Of. All. Time.
I was introduced to this show when I was ten. Now three years later, I'm thirteen my own Amazon account with Prime to watch this series whenever and WHEREever I want. This show was my go-to on Snow days (I lived in Connecticut at the time), sick days, Weekends, and travels. When I was depressed, I watched this, and each Season has my favorite of episodes.

BUT BE WARNED! THERE ARE EPISODES MISSING FROM THE DIGITAL COLLECTION!
Season 1: "The Pioneer Woman" (Disc Only, and this one is a riot, so be prepared to get mad a BOTH CBS and Amazon)
Season 2: "The Ricardo's Switch Apartments" (Digital and Disc)
Season 3: "The Million Dollar Idea" (Digital and Disc)
Season 4: "Harpo Marx" (Disc Only and I know why. The Marx Brothers had a partial copyright on this episode, so it's only available on disc)
Season 5: It's a tie between "Lucy Gets a Paris Gown" and "Lucy in the Swiss Alps" (Both Digital and Disc)
Season 6: Another tie between "Christmas Show" (NOW THIS PISSES ME OFF! One of the best episodes in the series is not on Digital! But there is a special disc collection for all the ILL Holiday Specials, so don't worry ^v^) and "Lucy Raises Chickens" (Digital and Disc).

Now that's about it for the MAIN ILL series, not counting "The Lucy/Desi Comedy Hour". But, this show set the standards for family sitcoms, and it did it right! Lucille Ball, you will forever be in my heart as the Queen of Comedy (her actual title), and the star of one of the best shows of all time. :-)

Edit: I WOULD have given a 10/5 but,
A: It's impossible to rate higher than 5, and,
B: Not all episodes in the franchise are on the Digital Prime version. <:-(

Classic

“I Love Lucy” is a classic that still holds up well and continues to be entertaining today. I wish all the episodes would’ve been made available (so I can watch it in order, for the first time). However this “best of” collection of episodes is great and keeps me laughing. Lucille Ball was very talented, her role required a lot of physical comedy in addition to the verbal comedy, and she did it flawlessly. All the cast were very good in their respective roles.

Despite its age, this remains one of the funniest sitcoms around, if not the funniest.

One of the best comedy series of all time!

As a young girl, I loved to watch the I Love Lucy Show. I did not realize then what I have come to know now after watching so many episodes from this series. The talent of Lucille Ball, and the rest of the cast was a talent seldom seen today. Each episode brings a good, hard laugh or two, or three, for that matter. The humor is pure and clean. No need for worrying about watching these shows with young children. I remember, as a young child watching these episodes, but now, as an adult, can appreciate the talent and what was produced with so little. No need for dramatic scenery, music, etc. Simplistic, amazing, and hilarious comedy in the purest form. Too bad that we don't have many opportunities for entertainment such as this today. They just don't make them like they used to! I highly recommend this series if you want to enjoy a truly great comedy show.

Great fun for the whole family!

We love Lucy! We've been watching all the shows. Great fun! And I introduced our kiddos to the show, so now a new generation is in love with Lucy! And they think it's terrific and often ask to watch the shows again and again. Terrific, clean, hilarious fun! Amazing to think you can have a great time with no sex, nudity, drugs, violence, etc. (insert sarcasm here) Beats today's junk any day!

These shows are such a fun trip back in time, to see how people lived - living history. It's great to see some of my favorite stars from back in the day - John Wayne, etc.

We love all of the characters. Thanks to Lucy and the gang for giving us a lifetime of terrific memories....

Coming Back After 20 Years

I have to admit that it had been 20 years since I watched an episode of I Love Lucy (maybe more than 20). My wife thought it would be something our 9 year old might find funny, and she was right. And as we watched it, we really appreciated what an exceptional physical comedienne Lucille Ball was - but we already know that. What was a revelation was how good Desi was as a straight man, and a comic foil. My 9 year old really loved it, and I expected to be a bit bored but it turned into a nice family experience we repeat 3-4 nights a week.

I Love Lucy HD and Amazon Fire TV bring back yesterday's memory in High Quality Picture Display

This Series looks very fresh with the HD upgrade and is a pleasure to view again. The episodes pale incomparison to Amazon's Prime upgrade and can be viewed for Free as a Prime Member. I always hesitated to join Prime, but I finally made the leap just about a year ago and when you combine this with 2 Day Free Shipping and now my Fire TV, it really is a package that just can't be beat. The episodes of I Love Lucy seem very clear and very good detail overall. These episodes also seem uncut and true to their original broadcasting.

The Best Of

Anonymous before me is mistaken. This says the best of i love Lucy. Obviously every episode wouldn't be included. Do I agree with their best of choices? I think some really great episodes are missing. Be a pal for instance, pioneer woman and the freezer. The first season does not have 35 episodes I know because I have the series on DVD. And had previously owned box sets of the first three seasons. Classic episodes are in here and for it being a first exposure or a many time over, I love Lucy was a groundbreaking television show, the best of all time. Great for anybody.

Another Generation Loves Lucy

This was a five star hit with me as a child, and it is still a five star hit as a senior. My granddaughter and I had a Lucy marathon; we viewed all of Season One during her overnight stay. She laughed every bit as much as I did. Of course we did have a difference of opinion; I think Lucy is the funniest, but she says Ricky is the best one on the show. We are looking forward to another weekend of Lucy. What a wonderful feeling to relive the episodes with a new generation. I Love Lucy is truly a timeless treasure.
