I have always liked Bill Murray. One of those Hollywood people you would like to meet, or buy a beer for. Hanx pulls stunts like this, but he seems much less personable. From the moment he appeared in this video, I grinned and chuckled throughout it, He just seems like a real honest to goodness grass roots, salt of the earth, genuine guy. No arrogance, no pretense. What you see is what you get. It’s impossible to do now in Covid lockdown, but I would love to have him crash any place I went to. He just seems so nice! I don’t ever comment or rate movies and videos, but I had to give my 2¢ here. I very much enjoyed watching his shenanigans. And, if you say you didn’t like it, don’t worry because “Shhh, NOBODY WILL BELIEVE YOU”. 😁 He is a legend.

I suspect a good deal of the 5-star reviews may be... um... taking liberties with the truth. Bill Murray is not in this doc, and wasn't a part of it's making. He shows up in amateur phone vids and some movie clips. The rest of the run time is glomming fans who don't actually know BM but talk about him like he's our dear leader or something.

Bill is just an actor who had a bit of a PR problem in the '80s and '90s because he was chronically rude to fans and pretty much anybody else (most of his current fans were toddlers when this was going on and have no recollection of his notorious rep as a jerk). When mobile phones with cameras became ubiquitous, he started showing up at random sporting events, golf tourneys, and college parties, and putting on a fantastic show of being a super swell guy.

These stunts worked magic, and went a long way to repairing his rep, but now this has morphed into some kind of cult of personality that produces things like this movie.

Hmmm...

This documentary is engaging and fun to see how Bill Murray lives life with a purpose. It is always, "Yes, and..." I had heard the stories that he never had an agent and just has his answering machine as the method by which you reach him, yet, he chooses what he wants to do and everyone "loves" his company! If you are a fan of Bill or a fan of living more in the moment, you must watch this with your family and friends!

Blu-ray won't play on either of my blu-ray players or my BD-enabled computer.

I actually exchanged the first defective blu-ray for a replacement. I failed to pay attention to the return window for the replacement. Two days after it expired, I tried to watch the documentary. The same thing happened. After loading the blu-ray in two different players I got nothing but a blank screen. It never found any menu or program to play!

The firmware in my blu-ray players is up-to-date. They play older and newer blu-ray discs without issue. Both of the discs I've recieved for this product are useless. Don't waste your money!

A less on how we'd all hope to live our lives

There's a lot more to this charming documentary than you might think. I first thought it was just going to be a collection of funny stories from one of my favorite comedic actors of all time, but it was much more. You get a sense of Bill Murray's philosophy on life and you just might be a better person after watching this, so I suggest you do just that,

I ordered this item, but when it arrived it wouldn't play, so I sent it back and asked for a replacement. When the replacement arrived I found out it wouldn't play either, so I started researching the problem. I learn that not all DVD players are capable of playing this format. My 2 year old Sony player needs new firmware installed to play the disk, so I have to wait a week for the disk to arrive from Sony. The other thing I learned while researching is that this DVD isn't Bill Murray, it's just interviews with people who have met Bill Murray.

well done considering what he had to work with

With no access to his subject matter, the filmmaker makes the most of minimal resources. He gets in touch with some friends and colleagues with interesting insights ("There's a difference between 'fun' and 'funny'") and he has a good time dialing the black-hole of an 800#. Finally, he succumbs. Not Murray, the filmmaker. He learns a lesson and takes it to heart.

Incredibly Disappointed

We have two Blu-ray players since we don't have cable we rely on them daily. One is a region free player, the other a regular well working Blu-ray player. So when I say on the regular one that there was a complete black screen where nothing could be selected, and on the region free player it didn't register the disc at all I was very much saddened because I had wanted to get this since I saw it on Netflix a while ago on my phone. Don't bother buying.
