The Billionaire's Reckless Marriage: Limitless Clean Billionaire Romance Series, Book 2 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
The one man Laurie Fields would most like to avoid just became her boss.
A thousand women would love to be in her shoes, working up-close-and-personal with billionaire philanthropist Finn Anderson. Though alluring at first glance, he's less than charming around Laurie. She's not about to cut him any slack, even if her job depends on it.
Finn Anderson may look healthy, but chances are he won't live to collect Social Security. That's why he has to be careful never to fall in love. So far, he's been pretty safe, since he drives away every woman who gets close.
When unforeseen circumstances force Laurie and Finn to work together, Finn finds his walls crumbling, and Laurie begins to care more than she will admit for this secretly thoughtful man. But his rejection has her on the run.

GENRE: Contemporary romance; Disability romance; Sweet/CLEAN romance
SETTING: New York City; Limitless division
CENTRAL FEMALE CHARACTER: LAURIE FIELDS – sharp, witty, outspoken; fear of flying; biracial
CENTRAL MALE CHARACTER: FINN ANDERSON – avoids being involved in romantic relationships; Billionaire; Cystic Fibrosis; sharp tongue
SYNOPSIS: Laurie has been hired to work at Limitless, a organization to help disabled children. Finn is one of four that started Limitless. He is forced to work with Laurie against all his objections about hiring her. They just DO NOT get along.
WHAT I LIKED: Once again, as with Book 1, I love reading the thoughts in a person’s mind ie., what they are thinking.
WHAT I DID NOT LIKE: The constant bickering was over the top in the plot. Seemed to be used as a filler.
OVERALL RATING: (4) stars because the plot fell short of bringing the reader into the personal world of CF. What is it like to get up in the morning and go thru the actual treatment routine. What is specifically does that treatment routine encompass. Specifically, what do you have to carry when in the wilderness; specifically. Book 1 spoke of specifics of being blind; the need to shut out sounds in a crowded casino and why. The Billionaire’s Reckless Marriage had a great plot, but I do not know anymore about CF than when I started. I am ready for Book 3 but it has not been written ☹
I received an Advanced Reading Copy of this book and this is my unbiased review.
I loved it! I loved the chemistry between the main characters. The friendship between the group. The caring and being there for each other no matter how difficult the situation. It was more than just a romance. It was a hopeful story. I look forward to reading more by the author.
I liked the storyline but the concept is missing something...The story started out fine but then it seemed to slow down wiht the characters going back an forth for quite a while. I think it partly had to do with going over and over the same issues that each one of them had. That's not to say that the issues weren't important ones, But it did get repetitive to the point I caught myself skimming many pages of rhetoric.... Then add in the rules that Finn kept using it wasn't long before I was somewhat frustrated.
Both of the main characters have their insecurity issues regardless. I got tired of Finns self-righteous "I won't ever get married." Finn was a decent guy just mislead due to his past but he is a good guy ... then there's Laurie she was raised thinking one way and until near the end we find the truth of the matter ... she loved Finn from book 1 but the journey took her what seemed like the whole of book 2 to get Finn to admit his Love for her .......The story does have a H.E.A. with an Epilogue which was good to read.
So overall, although it had some good points, it's not a favorite for me.

No matter how illogical Finn’s thoughts are concerning any loving relationship, his character is very relatable. Being sick myself, I fight with similar feelings on a daily basis, even though I know and experience regularly how erroneous they are. I really liked how the author treated the subject, the disease not even being the biggest obstacle, but actually how the person views itself through its lenses of how unaccommodating one’s own “flaws” are. Enjoy this book as Finn learns to accept his worth through the eyes of someone who loves him.
I read this through Kindle Unlimited.
