About the authors
'Field of Heroes is a powerhouse of action and war, with an intrinsic dark humour reminiscent of Iain M. Banks. Very highly recommended.' - Andy Remic.
Craig Saunders is the author of around fifty novels and novellas, including the Amazon bestseller 'Vigil'. As 'Craig R. Saunders' he penned the seven-book fantasy saga of the world of Rythe, beginning in 'The Outlaw King' and culminating with 'Beneath Rythe'.
Since his first novel acceptance 'Rain' over ten years ago his short fiction has been published in periodicals, magazines, podcasts, 'Best of' anthologies, and his novellas have won a couple of awards. He's been a top 100 bestselling author in horror, fantasy and science fiction categories on Amazon, but it isn't the New York Times so he doesn't make a big song and dance about it.
As Craig Robert Saunders he is the author of 'Field of Heroes', 'Hush' and 'Lore' - space opera, space fleet and space marine stories. Some of his favourite modern science fiction comes from Neal Asher, Andy Remic, Iain M. Banks, Dan Abnett and Richard Morgan. As a reader he's a sucker for a great robot or a smart ship. His proudest moments to date are rare praise from NYT bestseller Tim Lebbon who called 'Xenophobia' 'Entertaining, shocking and brutal' , Andy Remic for 'Field of Heroes', which Andy described as 'A powerhouse of action and war reminiscent of Iain M. Banks.'
Craig publishes science fiction with Severed Press. He also publishes novels independently under the Dark Fable Books/Fable Books labels and considers himself a hybrid author.
Craig writes in a shed and blogs about writing and his ongoing battle with schizophrenic affective disorder and he is a fierce advocate for mental health rights.
He's always happy to talk over at:

[Masters of Blood and Bone] '...combines the quirkiness of Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas series with the hardcore mythology of Clive Barker to create an adventure that is both entertaining and terrifying.' - examiner.com.
[Vigil] 'A gripping accomplishment.' - Murder, Mayhem and More.
'Saunders is fast becoming a must read author...' - Scream.
[Bloodeye] '...razor-sharp prose.' Wayne Simmons, author of Flu and Plastic Jesus.
'Plain and simple, this guy can write.' - Edward Lorn, author of Bay's End.
'A master of the genre.' Iain Rob Wright.
[A Home by the Sea] 'Brutal and poetic...' - Bill Hussey, author of Through a Glass, Darkly.
[Rain] '...the best book I've read in a year.' - The Horror Zine.
"Jeff Burk writes some awesome shit. Just read it." -Carlton Mellick III
"...like Lloyd Kaufman and Sam Raimi's mutant offspring..." -Wil Wheaton
A fusion of pop culture insanity and pulp-punk action, JEFF BURK is the cult favorite author of SHATNERQUAKE, SUPER GIANT MONSTER TIME, and CRIPPLE WOLF. Like the literary equivalent to a cult B-Horror movie, Burk writes violent, absurd, and funny stories about punks, monsters, gore, and trash culture. Everyone normally dies at the end.

Past Bram Stoker Award(R) nominee James Dorr combines the charm of a gentleman born in the US South with the wiles of a near-New York City upbringing, the canniness of a one-time New England resident, and the guile of an outwardly stolid Midwesterner, or so he says. It is known that he was born in Florida, grew up in New Jersey, went to college in Massachusetts, and currently lives in Indiana where he harbors a Goth cat named Triana. He is a short story writer and poet working mainly in dark fantasy and horror with forays into science fiction and mystery, an active member of HWA and SFWA, and has previously worked as a technical writer for an academic computing center, associate editor on a city magazine, a nonfiction freelance writer, and a semi-professional Renaissance musician.
See http://jamesdorrwriter.wordpress.com for more information on James's doings, past, present, and possible future. Feel free to drop a note as the spirit moves -- he's always happy to hear readers' comments, and often will answer, so let your friends know too.

G. Arthur Brown, when not sleeping, writes absurd and irreal fiction, especially in restrooms. The influence of Monty Python, Twilight Zone, Donald Barthelme, Kelly Link, Franz Kafka, and the Reagan administration can be seen in much of his work. We can assume that at some point he went to one of those really wild churches where people speak in tongues and perform "the laying on of hands."

In 1987, after hearing Poison's "Look What the Cat Dragged In" for the first time, Sean decided he wanted to play drums. After realizing all rock stars wore leather pants, he traded in those dreams of fortune and fame for 80's sitcoms, horror movies (which he reviews at HorrorNews.net), and punk rock. Sean's short stories can be found in Solarcide's "Flash Me! The Sinthology," Bizarro Plup Press's "Bizarro Bizarro: An Anthology," and online at Cease, Cows.
