The Black Fleet: An Epic Space Opera/Time Travel Adventure (The Crimson Deathbringer Series Book 3) Kindle Edition
"The Crimson Deathbringer, very loosely speaking, is kind of like Star Wars meets Ready Player One."
"Robins is especially adept at writing powerful action sequences, especially those that are up close and personal."
"This action-filled gem is filled with characters you'll love, root for, and weep for when they die. The references to Star Trek and Spock can be hilarious."
"It may not be Heinlein, but it's Buck Rogers on steroids!"
"The novel is funny, imaginative and has a lot of dramatic tension to make for some compelling reading. I devoured it almost in one sitting and prayed I'd be able to finish it and find out how it would end before I had to do something else."
"This was very enjoyable and something I'm sure many people will have great fun reading.
Check it out."
"The Crimson Deathbringer' is a fast-paced, action packed Sci-fi thriller, peppered with humor and dramatic moments."
"But the ability of the author is exactly in taking all those cliché elements we are so used to, and turn them into a fresh, reviving funny story that entertains the reader from start to end."
"This is a quirky Sci/Fi space opera with memorable and witty characters, and a formidable enemy to overcome."
"Well written, easy to read, I'm expecting great things from this young ,exceptionally talented, new author."
"You quickly get attached to characters, heroes and villains, and you'll get caught up in the characters' lives which lend a heavy dose of realism to the story. Amazing book... looking forward to the sequel!"
"The Crimson Deathbringer is a wonderfully complex debut sci-fi novel by Sean Robins. Delightfully written with a light-hearted, fresh tone and fast action, the adventure moves between innocent mischief and deadly danger."
"Space adventure that kept me glued to the book. It's a fun read and left me willing to read the next piece of the story."
"This is the one book I couldn't put down."
"The characters are well-developed with their unique personalities and quirks, the sporadic humor (especially for those of us Star Trek fans) had my sides jiggling at times, and the surprises around every turn were an impressive, creative display. If you like Space Operas, comedies, characters full of gusto and a lot of action in your plots, this is a great melting-pot novel to delve into!"
"This book was pitch perfect - a fast-paced adventure with references that had me rolling. The narrative voice won me over from hello and I was enthralled until goodbye, finding it hard to stop to when the real world beckoned."
"Fans of light sci-fi and the more humorous MCU movies will likely get where the author's coming from."
"This book is a real page-turner!"
"If you like sci-fi, especially the space opera types like Star Wars, I am positive you will like this book!"
"Fast paced, gritty, but still poignant at times. I can't wait for the next one!"
About the Author
Sorry about that, guys. I could never resist a good meta-joke.
So, this is me. The real me, Sean Robins. Unfortunately, my life is nowhere nearly as interesting as my main protagonist's. I'm a university/college-level English teacher, and including Canada, I've lived and worked in six different countries. I've met people from all around the world, which is probably why my characters look like the bridge crew from Star Trek (They are from US, Germany, Canada, Cuba, Mexico, Russia, Japan, and Ukraine, plus a couple of aliens and an AI). One of my female characters even impersonated Uhura once, albeit posthumously.
I'm a huge Marvel (plus Star Trek, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, and Stargate) fan, which shows since my novels are loaded with pop culture references. If you area sci-fi fan (I assume that you are), you'll enjoy them tremendously. Moreover, while the books aren't comedies, I can guarantee a few laugh-out-loud moments. Case in point: The "good" aliens are a race of pranksters, whose main goal in life is pulling other people's legs (They have four legs, hence the slight change in the idiom).
I hope you enjoyed reading The Crimson Deathbringer as much as I enjoyed writing it (her?). If you did, don't forget to read the next two books in the series, The Golden Viper and The Black Fleet. Also, please follow me so that you'll be the first to know whenever I write a new book (which sadly isn't that often, maybe once a year--I tend to rewrite everything fifteen times before I'm satisfied). I think the easiest way is to follow me on Amazon, but Goodreads, Twitter (@seanrobins300) and/or Facebook are also good options.

I’m excited to see what happens next in this crazy space faring world!
While you could probably read this as a stand-alone book, don’t. You will want to get to know the stories and the characters from the beginning. The character building in this series is fantastic and by book three you feel like you really do know them as real people!
Here we have all our old friends, and some new, in a thrilling sequel to Books 1 and 2. Jim Harrison is his same swashbuckling self with the beautiful (and pregnant) Ella as a new partner, but never forgetting the love of his life, Liz. He faces a greater menace than ever before, from the future this time. We have Kurt, Cordelia, the Akakies and Vox warriors, Tarq, and mention of the infamous and bloody Battle of Tangaar.
"As two hundred thousand Vox soldiers dashed towards the golden planet - Next stop: Earth"- coming up for all Sean Robins fans who are following the fearless, arrogant, and fun loving Jim - and his new daughter or son? - into the future. Replete with pop references that will make you smile, I recommend The Black Fleet for some fun holiday reading, and the intriguing next in the series, which brings us to The Silver Timeship (The Crimson Deathbringer Book 4). Don't miss this series, which has a foot in the pop past, one in the technological present, and the other in the thrilling and dangerous future of humankind and their alien allies.
"Next stop: the stars!!!"
In The Black Fleet, barely 5 years have passed since the events in Crimson Deathbringer, the first book of this series, and earth/mankind has begun to settle into peace! They're rebuilding both their societal infrastructure and family life that had been so abruptly ripped away at the onslaught of the havoc brought by the Xortaags and the first sighting of the Crimson Deathbringer!
Jim and crew find themselves making uneasy alliances in order to fight a greater evil than could ever be imagined! No matter the cost, the Black Fleet must be stopped!
So grab the audiobook and let a fantastic voice performer (CJ Grey) tell you a story! Or better yet grab the boxed set and prepare to lose yourself in three pulse pounding adventures!!!
If you have listened to books 1 & 2 you MUST listen to book 3. If you want to listen for the first time, get books 1 & 2 first and you will no be disappointed.
Also I wanted to note if it wasn't for C.J. Grey I don't know if these books would be the same. I love the full audio production on this and think all books should match this series on quality, attention to detail and overall perfect implementation of how audiobooks should be made in the 21st Century.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review
