Peace has finally come to Dash and his followers. The Golden, their arch enemy defeated. Life is peaceful , good, they can finally relax. Wrong, a new alien enemy has surfaced called Deepers. Their organic and inorganic and have the ability to rejuvenate if wounded. They have to be totally destroyed to kill them. Their warships are the same. They are not built but they grow probably from the organic materials. They do not communicate as individuals, but as a group or mass communication. An enemy far deadlier then any group Dash has faced. An epic sc_fi thriller. Enjoyed immensely!!

It is a good book in the series. Here you find Dash and Friends can you going a rest. When they are suddenly attacked and find themselves and if our place play brand new enemy to try to understand and overcome. Has always there are some disconnects but I enjoy the story and eagerly await the next book.

Well Dash and the Cygnus Realm had a couple of years off but when a new alien threat appears from a gate and destroys a construction base, (the Deepers) or friends in the realm have to battle a different type of technology in a different way.
A fun book to continue the Messenger series.

Have always been an avid reader - but at 70 I decided to try something new. So - I hesitantly tried out Space fiction.
Since then I must have read some 500 books - many if them series - and I love them. So - The Messenger caught my eye, I got the first books as an omnibus - and having devoured them I went through the rest" like a hot knife through butter"! I fell in love with Dash, Leira, Connover, Victor and Amy. And all the other characters they met along the way. Don't want to say too much about the individual plots, but battle scenes are intense, bloody and exciting, and the way the story develops and the characters expand really brings it all to life. If you want "Hard science fiction" this may not excite you the way it did me - but for me (now 76) it was rollocking good read. I really enjoyed all of it, and was really sorry when I finished the last book. More please!!
