From New York Times best-selling author Meghan March comes a story of untold truths and one man’s redemption in the Dirty Mafia Duet - available in audio first!
Every family has a black sheep. In the infamous Casso crime family, that black sheep is me - Cannon Freeman.
Except I’m not a free man. I’ve never been free. Not since the day I was born. I owe my loyalty to my father, Dominic Casso, even if he won’t publicly acknowledge me as his blood.
I’ve never had a reason to go against his wishes...until I met her.
Drew Carson turned my world upside when she walked into my club looking for a job.
Now, my honor and my life are on the line.
Going against my father’s wishes might buy me a bullet straight from his gun, but black sheep or not, it’s time to make my stand.
She's worth the fallout.

Even with that Cliffy, I’m over hear all kinds of puppy dog, stupid swoony grin and twitterpated heart because I FINALLY got Cannon!!!
Or at least part of Cannon, since this is a duet, but you understand.
I have been waiting since the before Dirty Billionaire trilogy was completed to know about Cannon because I knew he had to be just as awesome as Crey Crey to be his bff and I was proven right! He is so much more than the sum of his parts, and some of those parts are quite wonderful and I ended up adoring him. And then there is Drew. This woman has b$%#S of steel, let me tell you, and I adored her. She sticks to her convictions, but isn’t one to go into a situation blindly, nor is she one to take things at face value...most of the time. She just has that thing that makes me want to grab a couple of fingers of bourbon and get to know her better.
As for their journey thus far...HAWT (was that ever in doubt???) but also sweet and swoon worthy. The chemistry between them is intense and, despite what brought them together, I loved how well they flowed together and cannot wait to see what else they’ll have to face before getting the HEA they so richly deserve.
Now, I’m typically making grabby hands at the next book in either a Meghan March duet or trilogy, and believe me when I say that I am, but I am in a bit of a conundrum...do I wait to read the words that are in White Knight OR do I listen to them?? I do have the audio book for the duet ~ I am a #fangirl after all ~ but I waffled over diving in to them first or wait for the book because sometimes I prefer reading first and then listening to the words since I don’t have to worry too much about paying attention...I still haven’t made up my mind on what I will do, but at least I have the option open to me *BSEG*
But as for the storyline and all the characters that populate the Dirty Mafia world...I honestly love the path that has been laid out for Cannon and Drew and cannot wait to see how things play out after that very...interesting ending. And as for the secondary characters...well, I love hearing about some of my fav’s from other books ~ one was definitely accompanied by a bit of happy dancing ~ but Dom Casso is the one that intrigues me the most because part of me wants to not like him, but I cannot help but be fascinated by the man and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what he does, or doesn’t do, in the next book!

Black Sheep is filled with suspense, secrets, deception and romance. Exactly what you have come to expect from a Meghan March book.
Her books always grab me right from the first page and don’t let go until the last page. And as usual she hits us with a heck of a Cliffhanger!!! So as you can guess Black Sheep is NOT a standalone novel. I can’t wait for White Knight to come out….I need to know what happens!!!
Black Sheep is the first book in the Dirty Mafia Duet. It is the start of Drew and Cannon’s story. Yes there has been glimpses of Cannon from previous books, but I don’t feel that they have to be read before enjoying this book. I thought this was an exciting start to their story. I know I can’t wait to see where this story goes. As with most Meghan March’s books I can’t talk about the storyline at all. Everything I want to say is a spoiler for other readers. Just know you will WANT to read this book. Just know the intrigue and intensity of this story will keep you on the edge of your seat and turning the pages as fast as you can.
As I said this story is fast paced and captivating. It is told in Dual POV. I loved that fact because I loved being inside both Drew and Cannon’s head. It truly helps the reader connect with the characters better.
I could ramble on and on about this book and this author but I will just leave you with this… READ THIS BOOK!!! You won’t be sorry!!!.
The one thing Drew doesn't factor into her plan is the attraction she immediately feels for Cannon. No one should look as good as he does, or be the good man he turns out to be. She constantly sees instances where Cannon turns out to be nothing like she imagined.
Cannon on the other hand, feels things for Drew he's never felt for any other woman. And that's dangerous, since he has never once let his guard down, because that could get you killed when you're part of an infamous mob family, even if you've never been publicly acknowledged. Cannon has always lived on the periphery of his father, Dom Casso. Always doing what is expected of him, but maintaining a legitimate, clean reputation. At what point will he finally be able to get out from under Dom's thumb?
The attraction and intensity between Cannon and Drew is intense. Both of them keeping their secrets, but unable to stay away from each other. Will they be able to make this relationship work? Will Cannon find out what Drew is really doing before Dom or even another mob family does? Will Drew let her attraction and feelings for Cannon derail her plans to find out who killed her father? So many questions up in the air, and being the queen of cliffhangers, Meghan drops a doozy on us!! I can't wait to start reading White Knight to find out how this whole thing plays out!!

My one BIG complaint is that this duet is not available to download as an audiobook from iTunes. It is twice as expensive to download it through Audible which I am not prepared to do. I am not sure whether it is something arranged by Amazon, Meghan's agent or the author herself, but it is not appreciated and I wait in hope of getting the audiobook through iTunes in the fullness of time.
Beautifully described characters, complicated backstories woven expertly into an extremely well crafted novel.
So good you read them twice !
