My mother said to me, "We should write a book for kids your age."
That was forty years ago. I was a twelve-year-old playing lots of Dungeons & Dragons, reading Karl Edward Wagner, Brian Daley, and Michael Moorcock. Jumping off the house to practice my ninja rolls was also a thing, but I digress.
Over the last four decades, I've submitted stories to traditional publishing, self-published novels, acquired book and audiobook contracts, and worked with some amazing collaborators (The Last Reaper with JN Chaney, Terran Strike Marines with Richard Fox, and Darklanding with Craig Martelle to name a few series.)
I love writing.
My life is simple—family and friends, reading and writing, and living a life full of imagination and adventure.

I have never read a book I didn't like. I've read a lot of sci-fi and have not finished maybe 2 books, and don't follow those offers. J. N. Chaney has the best idea for success as a writer. Collaboration! I don't know why other authors don't do this. It is ingenious! You can write 3- 4 times the amount of quality books with other another author than most solitary authors. I love these books!

the Reaper hasn't diverged - yet - with the main storyline - but all of the Reaper books are a worthwhile read. Chaney is building a masterful story with his excellent penchant for likable characters (you'll like this one, even though he's a bit of an ass at times, but you'll end up rooting for him nevertheless. Definitely worth your time and money. A highly recommended storyline! Shades of Deus-Ex, with a good backstory and a singular personality.
