Based on the first three episodes, I have to say I am unimpressed. The writing seems to be a little lacking, with events of repetitive dialogue making sure that even the least inattentive of us can follow the plot, and certain events transpiring that seem completely lacking in the writers taking reason into account, and with characters seeming incredibly infantile for grownups living daily in tough situations. One gets the impression that it was written for children, or completely passive viewers who will not think through the show. The acting and production value are both fine, I have nothing but appreciation for the actors, actresses, the filming and post production people.

Watching Blindspot makes you realize how good The Blacklist is. Both shows cover the same turf, the same gradual-unfolding type of relationship between the protagonists, where a central core memory loss holds the key to everything. Red's Blacklist fills the same role as Jane's tattoos, providing a villain-of-the-week as well as an escalating stake-raiser at the end of each episode. Both shows are satisfying and deliver. The thing is, The Blacklist is so much better. Each character is so pivotal, very palpably involved. Blindspot is full of easy Deux ex Machina's that The Blacklist avoids. Blindspot pulls all the right strings, the writers are sharp, realizing that every answered question had better reveal an even more compelling question, or the audience will go bye-bye. I think if I'd not seen The Blacklist, with it's magic chemistry between Red and Liz, Liz and Tom, then I'd not find Blindspot a bit bland, and simply an exercise in connecting the dots.

The pretense here is absolutely surreal, a naked woman is found in a duff ell bag on the sidewalk in Time Square New York covered with tattoos. But they are not just any tattoos. We learn early that the tattoos have meaning, plus on her back is the name of an FBI agent. One found behind her ear is an address in China town but it is written in Chinese. Then that clue leads to another clue and then the bombshell during the second episode is that the FBI agent had a friend who disappeared 25 years ago, and that is her. Now don't ask how they got her DNA from 25 years ago but for him to realize that this beautiful woman was his best friend 25 years ago and now she comes back with all kind of skills and that even she can't explain. For she has no memory prior to the moment when she unzipped that bag and stepped out. So far the series has been able to hold my interest and I do find it enjoyable.

All in for Blindspot

This is the show I countdown the days, hours, and minutes to watch. It has elements of 24 and Bourne, but adds a feminine side. I am always looking for and welcoming a strong heroine, and this title is for me the rule not the exception. I especially like the "tough and tender" personality that Jane brings. She's fully female--relational, nurturing, connecting, complicated, sexual, seeking a strong man to come through for her, taking initiative, kicking ass in hand-to-hand combat, flying choppers out of a combat zone, thinking critically and rationally, assertively arguing her perspective, having drinks with her girlfriends, executing her role in a functional, effective FBI team. To me Jane brings to the surface questions all of us have--who am I, really? what is my part to play in this thing called life? how do I use these skills and talents and strengths I have? who will look out for me? who do I trust?

This is one of the better television action/drama shows to come along in a good while. Certainly there's a degree of predictability, after all, it's entertainment not global thermonuclear war strategy games. I think the actors do an excellent job of making the characters believable as real people coping with a riddle within a mystery. I really enjoy this series and plan to see all of them. As a cinematic black prince once said, "That is my word and, as such, is beyond contestation." ;-)

The series has a major blindspot in their writing. Overall good, but could be much better

I wish that they made this tv series like they do the rest of them for the CW Network. This was a little predictable and some of the storylines were redone 3-4 times over the same season. It was getting a little tiresome. It's good overall. The first 3-4 eps were great. Went downhill through out the series and made the season worth watching towards end of season and finale. If it makes it through a second season with the writing, I would totally be surprised. Blindspot writers make season two better please

My wife and I love Blindspot! It quickly became our favourite and the only show we watch nightly. The episodes and characters continue to fascinate us. We are amazed that there are many more episodes and even more seasons to follow! Where could this story go!? We’ll continue to binge!

2nd best (after The Blacklist)

This is pretty good TV. I don't like it as well as The Blacklist, but it's good. The main guy is 'ok' but sometimes his humor is a little on the low IQ side, like when he's near a deafening explosion and pretends (for a little bit) that he can't hear when 'Jane' speaks to him. Yeah, very funny. (not) 'Jane' is the best thing about the show, altho she seems a little 'off' at times (too). Action/fighting scenes are quite good. Season 1 was strong and Season 2 seems strong too. Looking forward to more episodes.
