Even with all the things that aggravated me, I have to say that a good author elicits strong feelings, even if anger. And these authors made me dislike Hammer and my heart break for Liam. I vacillate where Raine is concerned. I don't understand an abuse victim wanting to be marked all over with bruises or enjoying pain. I think Hammer is wrong for her because of her past. I think her unrequited love for him for so long has blinded her to what is best for her. I think she is so happy to have what she wanted that she is willing to endure whatever Hammer wants. And that bugs me. I had to read this one in doses because I got so aggravated at the double standards and selfishness of Hammer.
In book 3, Raine got on my nerves with her need to please Liam. She is a grown woman who acts like an idiotic teenager. It is OK for her to sleep with Liam without Macen's presence but when Macen wants to sleep with her, she asks if they should wait for Liam. Oh and later on, Raine goes she'll take the guys alone or together. I'm like authors get your story straight and quit catering to Liam.
Real MVP in book 3 is Macen. He is the one that holds the three of them together. Macen is too good to be involved with Raine and Liam (who only have sex in common). I feel bad for Macen because of what he has to put up to when it comes to Raine and Liam.
The dungeon scene between Macen and Raine was good and their love scenes that followed was HOT!
Macen and Liam when they gotten along were quite entertaining. I think Macen once again showed what a great friend he is to Liam by standing by and supporting him as he deals with Gwendolyn and Kyle. Liam has yet to show what a great friend he is so I stand by, by calling Liam a terrible and selfish friend.
Overall, there was too much of whiny/insecure Liam that made this book unlikeable to me. If you are thinking about buying it or reading it, I say don't waste your money. I'll loan you mines (kindle edition) because I'll never read it again. Too much catering to one character (Liam) over another (Macen) was the issue. I think a great ménage (M/F/M) should be equally center with the two males and so far this series is not doing that.
With Raine’s father on the scene, we know something bad is going to happen. Some crazy stuff is about to go down. The 3 are now working together , now in synch and their love is their saving grace. This book is all about fighting their demons and coming out on top. Hammer is the hard dom, the fighter while Liam is the gentle dom who wants to take care of all. Raine is the glue that keeps them all together and loves them equally. There are many twists and turns that keep this story hopping and at the end there is one epic twist that I didn’t see coming. I cannot wait for 4th and final book in The Dom's of Her Life series!!!
