Borrowed Time: A Paranormal Women’s Fiction Novel: Primetime of Life, Book 1 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
Turning 40 isn’t as exciting as most people think.
There are no fireworks or surprise parties, and I definitely didn’t get hitched overnight. Been there, got the divorce papers to prove it. Nope, none of that.
Rather than 40 being the new 20 and all that, I inherited a new power from my mysterious birth mother. But now she’s dead and I, despite the fact that I have exactly zero training, I’m the next time-traveling assassin.
Don’t get excited. The job sounds glamorous, but it comes with a huge learning curve and plenty of mishaps. Then there’s having to actually assassinate people. That part sucks.
It could be worse. I could still be working retail.

The main character is a woman who was put up for adoption and cut off from her witchy heritage. This means she has no idea of how to use her powers and no knowledge of the community.
She finds a trainer but has to keep everything very hush hush... this was the part that kind of fell apart for me. Not sure why things needed to be kept secret and the intrigue didn't quite fit for me.
The book is well written and is quite funny!
