5.0 out of 5 starsSave yourself the typical swearing, scrapes, and rage of car seat installation with CLICKTIGHT. AMAZING!
Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2017
We have 3 kids and 11 car seats. I've reviewed car seats for brands in the past (this is not one of them and I have zero relationship with Britax, nor am I being compensated for this review). That said....

...Clicktight is a GAME CHANGER.

The seat is good for 10 years, as good a lifespan as anything on the market. It installs SO MUCH EASIER than any other seats we have, with Chicco seats in a close second. The anti-rebound bar for rear-facing replaces a top leather and keeps the backseat more open (no strap to the floor from the top of the seat). I did have to put my weight into the seat a bit to get it to click down, but man....perfectly tight install with NO FIGHTING. No scratches. No bruises. No sweating. No swearing! AMAZING.

The seat itself is well made and the baby is comfortable in it. It's Britax, so you can assume a certain level of quality and this seat is no exception.

Installing with Clicktight took me under 10 minutes. My mother-in-law could do this with no instruction book and it would be a safe install. The recline indicator is very clear, too. If you change seats in and out often, especially with people installing who aren't car seat nerds (grandparents, babysitters), this is the seat for you.

I would still get on Facebook and find one of the car seat groups, and ask about seats with relation to the make/model/year of your vehicle(s) and ages/heights/weights of your child(ren). I also REALLY love that this is a no re-thread seat, so any child small enough to be rear-facing can use it without uninstalling it (just squeeze the handle at the top and slide the headrest up and down to adjust shoulder straps to the right height). Even the crotch strap can be adjusted easily (by opening the click-tight tray, then reinstalling...but reinstalling is a breeze so it's not a big deal).

We have 4 Dionos and yeah, they are narrower overall....but for my money, I love the ease and longevity of this seat. I can't even think of anything I don't like about it.

1.0 out of 5 starsSeatbelt frayed to a thread within 3 weeks of purchase
Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2018
Buckling my baby in after only three weeks of using this brand new seat, thank god I noticed the seat belt had frayed to basically a single thread at the very bottom of the belt where it connects to the seat. I don’t know if this is a fluke with just the seat I bought or some defect that might recur in other seats, either way it’s absolutely life threatening in the case of a crash. I returned it through amazon but will contact Britax with photos and video because this is absolutely shockingly dangerous. Photo attached.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely the BEST.
Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2018
Style: BoulevardColor: CircaVerified Purchase
I just installed and used this car seat with my 1 1/2 year old yesterday. I don’t find this car seat to be that much heavier than any other seat we’ve had at all. The smaller footprint of 18” in VERY nice, and it seems to also provide a lot more leg room as well. We have an older expedition and you could easily fit 3 of these all the way across. The clicktight installation is an absolute DREAM. When you have blowouts and vomit, or you need to remove the seat often, this is the seat you want to have! I found you need to release the seatbelt before you try and open the clicktight once installed, mainly because it is so nice and tight. The harness height adjustment is very easy. The loosening & tightening of the harness over my child is SO easy and I found that if you take a second and actually tuck the harness straps into the harness strap holder opening when you’re releasing your child it really makes a world of difference in both securing your child again and preventing the straps from tangling. I have 5 kids and used many seats, the issue of tangling is just inevitable, but this is the first seat that has an area just for holding the straps and that to me is super. I read many reviews about the short crotch strap. Yes, it’s shorter than a lot of seats but not by much and really, who cares? Just loosen more of the harness straps. Quite frankly it looks safer not having such a long strap coming up and my kids are huge-all of them. I have no issue with fit due to the crotch strap. The clicktight harness tightening is a bit unreliable, I find it clicks almost immediately when I begin tightening the harness but it’s no big deal, I just end up hearing the click a few times before I know it’s tight enough. It may sound silly but it’s nice to actually have the click sound. Regardless of how many clicks it takes to fully tighten, it makes Me feel better knowing and seeing that with each click it’s tightening another “notch” vs blindly pulling and kind of feeling around and wondering if it’s even tightening like every other seat I’ve had. I love the leveling bar on the seat, it makes it so easy to know that it’s level and you’re not trying to guess if the seat is level based on some silly “marker” on the side of the seat. My only issue with that is the words are in English only on one side of the seat, and it’s not the side I see when I look at my car seat. Lol. I had to go to the other side of my car to see the leveling indicator words in English. It does not have cup holders and I’ve read a lot of complaints about that but we must use sippy cups in the early years that no one else does because none of our sippy cups ever fit in any either built in or attachable seat cup holders. We use the skip hop around the seat organizers which have cup holders, snack holders and even an iPad holder for organization of all that stuff. I also LOVE that the seat padding can be removed without any harness removal, and it’s also nice that it is in multiple pieces because not all messes go everywhere and I can just remove the sections I need to that are dirty. And even if you have to remove the whole seat who cares, this thing is a dream to install and uninstall compared to any other seat on the market. Even though it is not recommended to wash the padding in the washing machine I will probably end up doing that at some point anyway. It’s not going to ruin it I’m sure, and the mfg just says not to if you want the seat covers to hold up well the 10 years or whatever. Use a delicate cycle. If you have time to hand wash I’ll bet this thing is super easy to do so though, but for me with 5 kids I am just not going to always take or have the time for that. No big deal. I wish I’d bought this seat a long time ago.

This is our second seat, we were in an accident that resulted in totaling our brand new car and my son didn't even have a scratch. Not one bruise he didn't cry and wasn't even scared. So of course we bought another. The color of the seat is actually really nice and the material is nice as well it was a bit different then his first seat. We love the ease of install. My son also loves it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have!!
Reviewed in the United States on September 19, 2016

My 5.5 month old has those breastfed thunder thighs. You know what I mean! We were hoping he would last in his Britax B-Safe 35 Elite infant seat a little longer, but, those thighs just couldn't take it anymore. Even after adjusting the crotch strap in his infant seat, it was still just too tight. So, after reading reviews and doing research, we went with this.

1. Installation: does it get any easier?! Oh. My. Gosh. After experiencing the infant seat install, this is easy peasy, anyone can do it, correctly! And the clicktight feature is great at knowing you have baby in securely.

2. Size: it's big. I mean, real big. And heavy. But Britax is by far the industry's gold standard when it comes to performance and crash test ratings, which is what it's all about. We have our 5.5 month old, rear-facing in it. So, it is reclined, which makes it take up more room (from front to back). We have a 2015 Sorento, thank goodness, because this would not have worked in our Civic!

3. Quality: as expected, great, durable quality in all components.

5.0 out of 5 stars Our 7th Britax seat, and certainly won't be the last!
Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2015
Style: BoulevardColor: CircaVerified Purchase
This is the 7th Britax seat we've purchased over the years for our 5 children. We've had our 2 year old in the Boulevard 70-G3 since birth and have loved it, so when the clicktight seats hit the market AND we were expecting another child, we were very interested.

I hemmed and hawed over this purchase for months because of the significant increase in price over the non-CT models, after the recall earlier this year, and after reading review after review with various complaints. I was mostly concerned about the complaints of the short crotch buckle/thigh digging issues. My 9 month old is a big boy with serious thighs! I'm so glad we went ahead with this seat, it really is wonderful, and our little fella loves it, squishy thighs and all.

I did have to move the crotch buckle to the outmost position, and I wonder if this may help some of the other reviewers issues? I've provided a photo of my 27lb 2 yr old in his Boulevard 70-G3 vs. my 23lb 9 month old in his Boulevard CT. I hope it helps anyone wishing to compare or who is milling around making the choice.

The CT technology is so wonderful, it makes your install simple and foolproof, and this included with all the other features I've loved about the other Britax seats we've had. I also really love the newer fabric on this seat. Several of our older seats have almost a velour fabric, which is nice, but it does fade in the sun and the improved (in my opinion) on the CT seats seems like it will be cooler, wipe off nicely, and won't be prone to snagging. This thing *is* a beast though, I didn't weigh it, but I'd guess it's over 40lbs, so some people might need some help to hoist it up depending on their car/size. That is really the only drawback we've found so far.

I also want to add that in addition to the 7 Britax seats we've owned, we've also owned 3 Britax strollers over the years and in our experience, Britax has the hands-down best customer service of any company we've ever dealt with. Very happy to continue to be loyal to this brand.

Just upgraded from a crappy even flo infant carseat and this one is such an upgrade it's ridiculous. It's heavy duty , high quality padding which seems like memory foam type padding.. beautiful colors and the best of the best is EASIEST TO INSTALL. Super clear on how to as well.. has the Britax marathon with my first and the boulevard with my second child would recommend these seats to anyone! Also it's big and spacious and FITS IN SMALL SUV. I drive a Lincoln MKC which is small and fits excellent behind pasanger seat

5.0 out of 5 stars Rolling my eyes at the one star reviews...
Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2020

We have two of these seats for our daughter, one in each vehicle. They are great, albeit heavy. I read a couple of the one star reviews before purchasing and they are just ridiculous! I would say "people are dumb" but that would probably keep my review from posting. It was easy to install, easy to adjust, and easy to get her in and out of. One minor annoyance that we've run into is that the straps do tend to twist quite a bit.

One note on the LATCH installation being complicated/difficult. The lower anchors were only included because federal law mandates it. Actually using the lower anchors was purposefully made to be difficult to encourage attaching it with the seat belt instead (which is really easy!) becuase the seat allows for a child to rear face up to a higher weight than the anchors in the car are rated for.

I’ve been using this seat a few months now. I still really love it. We have it in a Ford Edge and fits great rear facing with my now 10month old baby.
This seat is much better than our evenflo and recaro car seats.
The best thing about this seat is how easy it is to install in a car. You don’t have to pull the straps to tighten like most seats you just click it in and you’re done. If you were switching the seat in between cars it would be a good choice however it is VERY heavy compared to other seats we have so if you have trouble lifting might not be good idea.
The buckles to strap baby in are very nice and easy to use.
I purchased the black color and am very happy with it, it looks very nice and I think it will hide stains well.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT CAR SEAT! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2016
Style: BoulevardColor: CircaVerified Purchase
I would highly recommend this child seat for everyone! We purchased the Britax about a month ago and so far it's worked fantastically! Previously, we had purchased a Safety 1st Grow and Go and my daughter was just so uncomfortable in it and when she actually did fall asleep in it her head would slump forward so much it couldn't have been safe! I do try to take into account though that I have a 2011 Nissan Rogue, the back seats kind of are designed at a slump or an angle so that could have been part of the problem with the other car seat, because even after trying a pool noodle to elevate the angle of the seat (and again, pool noodle=safety??) like they recommended, it still just wasn't a good fit in my car. It does do a lot better in my husband's 2007 Ford F-150 extended cab. Back to the Britax though! This seat is just far better made then the Safety 1st, and we needed a great car seat because we do a lot of driving back and forth to visit grandparents and we generally use my car 90% of the time anyways. With the Britax, I feel relieved, I'm not constantly being distracted looking at my child to make sure she's okay and she doesn't fuss or cry in this one either. It's just more comfortable, has a ton of padding, and so many neat features like the ClickTight! That works wonderfully and the straps actually stay out of the way too so it's not such a hassle getting the baby in her seat! The only con to this seat, which has been mentioned is a cup holder but I'll take safety, functionality and peace of mind any day! Besides, you can purchase an add on for the cup holder anyways!

5.0 out of 5 stars Confident in it's safety, easy to install, looks good
Reviewed in the United States on July 11, 2016
Style: BoulevardColor: CircaVerified Purchase
I really love this seat for my 14 month old. We have two, one for each primary car. The first we bought when she was 7 months old and put in my 2009 Ford Fusion. In the center seat it fits well in a more upright position. My husband & I are not very tall, but do prefer our seats back pretty far. We did not have to adjust our front seats at all. So I would think that in a more reclined position for a younger baby our front seats would have been moved forward a bit, but not too bad. The fit in our 2007 Mazda CX9 is just as good, maybe a little better, with the Britax behind the passenger seat.
As for the seat itself, I love how easy it is to install. I felt it was a great installation but took it to the local police department with officers who have been trained & certified for car seat safety. They confirmed it was done properly. The only way to screw it up is to overthink it. You don't pull it
It can be out of one car & into the next in just minutes. It is heavy to carry & move, but I'm not a terribly strong woman and I can do it without struggle. Removing it requires that you unbuckle the seat belt to relieve the tension first. Then you will be able to EASILY open the Click Tight compartment.
My daughter seems to like the seat. She can see over the head bolsters OK & has free movement of her arms & legs. We live in central Pennsylvania & weather this summer has reached close to 100 degrees once or twice so far with averages of 80-90. The buckles have never gotten too hot to touch but the shoulder straps can be held out of the way with the cutouts for the belt path and the crotch buckle is held away from her legs by a cushion.
Speaking of the crotch buckle. A lot of reviews have said it's too short, which had me nervous. But it doesn't give us any trouble at all. If not for those reviews, I wouldn't have even thought of it. I'm not saying it's not a problem for some, but it's certainly not a problem for all.

There is an anti-rebound bar available to purchase from the Britax webpage. Some have complained about it not being included with the seat. Personally, I think it makes sense since it's not a required item in the US. If someone doesn't want it, they don't have to pay for it. If you do want it, it's not that much more. If you're already spending top dollar on the car seat, shelling out the extra $25 (or less really) on the bar isn't that big of a deal. I only wish it could have also been purchased from Amazon, or other retailers, just for ease of purchase.

I do think this car seat looks good. That's a silly thing and not all that important. But still. Her infant seat had giant warning labels right over the head wings at her face. It was ugly, they stuck her face to the seat when she was sweaty or crying, & got hotter than the regular material in the sun. It was just stupid. This Britax seat shows they thought things through from all aspects, not just the safety (most important) side.

One thing to take note of is the Click & Snug Safe Harness. It is worthless. DO NOT assume that because it clicked that it is tight enough. You must pull the belt tight at the legs & retighten, at the very least. I've also noticed that the neck strap cushion can get in the way & fool the system into thinking it's tight enough. This is one feature I didn't think was important when I purchased it so I'm not too let down by it, but I do think it can be very bad in the wrong situation (i.e. grandparents, babysitters, new parents, or anyone who might not be as familiar with how tight the seat belt SHOULD be)

I recommend this seat to everyone. I absolutely love it!
