About Boyd Craven Jr
Hi, I'm Boyd Craven Jr. I grew up in Grand Blanc, MI, USA. I went to grade school there, and at 18, I went to work for General Motors there, where I worked for 30 years and 2 days. I love to read, and do so every day of my life. After I retired from GM, I had, 'Write a book' on my bucket list. In November 2012, I published my first here on Amazon, and there's just no turning back now. Every moment of every day involves my learning to tell a better story in some fashion. I'm hooked on words now, and my wife Donna of 36 years, approves of my addiction!

Book 2 of the INDIANA FALL series continues to ask the question, “How would everyday people survive a cataclysmic event?”
As Mac's group tries to come to terms with the realization that no help is coming from the national level, a local tyrant emerges and seizes power by controlling all the major grocery stores. This tyrant then goes after people's guns by promising food in exchange for their weapons.
Will they go along with it? Or will they stand and fight for their constitutional rights in the America they love?
This is the story of Chaplain Mac Ridlen’s family,
In The October Fall World
In this story, the McDonalds continue their practice of crafting realistic, modern-day stories that actually teach valuable lessons without the need for profanity or random sex scenes. These stories are suitable for all but the youngest of readers.
Coming home after deployment with the Second Infantry Division, his enlistment up, Marcus had a big day planned, and his buddies arriving with him all knew about it.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go as he’d hoped. He discovered that while he’d been gone… Jody got his girlfriend.
Left standing at the airport with an engagement ring in his pocket and his faithful dog Crapper in his arms, Marcus watched her walk away with his now former best friend.
At the suggestion of his buddy, Sergeant Felix Walker, Marcus and Crapper decided to clear out of there and head to the north woods of Minnesota to spend some time away from everyone and everything—but trouble seemed to have it in for him—and October 28th was just around the corner.

A lot of people LOVED the core-4 books of the October Fall series, and a few hated them. That's the way it goes—BUT, we as authors are constantly learning. Our Facebook author group here at Raventhorne Books went through the CONSTRUCTIVE reviews, made a list, and talked about the positives and negatives. We came up with a group project, in this world, to further our craft at storytelling in the Post Apocalyptic genre.
Several of us have created characters to star in our own stories about what happened where we live when the same Event affected their lives. They're separate stories, but we've cooperated and coordinated together so our timelines and overall story arc fit. Although none of us have ever seen anything quite like this before, we've been having a blast and learning tons about things we never considered before. Now it’s time to start releasing them for others to enjoy!
This story is Mark Loren's first in this effort. He is also writing Minnesota Fall 2 & 3 and Korea Fall.
Robyn VanDerSys wrote Black Hills Fall.
Michael McDonald is writing Indiana Fall.
LA Bayles is writing Michigan Fall.
Rick Tippins is writing California Fall.
Boyd Craven Jr., with help from the others, will write a prequel novella to the In The October Fall World series that will be FREE to anyone and everyone called Prepper Dan's SHTF Radio Network. It will set the stage for all of the above and include a shameless amount of advertising and links to them all.
More will follow.
All will be published by Raventhorne Books.
Stay tuned friends, the party is just getting started!
Just as the nation was getting over the virus, everything went dark.
All modern electronic technology - toast. All communications and the Internet - down.
The police, FEMA, nor anyone in the government showed up for work any more.
Help was not coming. Everyone was on their own. The rule of law . . . lost.
Jake strongly suspected a massive EMP had completely destroyed the power grid. But he's a prepper, right? He and his MAG are ready for this, right? He's a retired Army Major, his wife Samantha a retired Army Captain. Other members of the MAG are retired military too, and they've been getting ready for something like this for over a decade. They have experience.
Their kids were off to college 90 miles away, and Jake was volunteering at the VA hospital when the SHTF, but he'd planned for that too. He felt confident his plans and his preps would save his family and friends. They were very well-prepared . . . but their neighbors weren't.

It definitely wasn't safe out there yet.
They learned just how evil some people can become, and how quickly—once there's no fear of consequences for breaking the law, when they encounter the most despicable people yet.
Can they survive this, or is this the end of the road for Jazlyn, Cole, and their young friends?

It's been almost two weeks since the EMP destroyed the American way of life as we knew it. The power grid collapsed and would most likely not be repaired for decades. I'm Jake—a husband, father, brother, Army veteran, militia commander, prepper, stacker, gun owner, and one of the few with common sense who hasn't panicked yet. I was the first in our MAG to recognize that an EMP event had occurred and knew best what to do because of both my military training and the many post-apocalyptic books I'd read over the years. I moved everyone in our group, along with our essential assets, safely to the bug-out location I'd been helping to prep for years. This is my story.

Jake's group makes some incredible new friends, becoming a stronger group in the process. As life gets better for them, they venture further outward, inevitably meeting other like-minded groups, and of course some that just want to take what they've worked so hard for.
They'll also discover the truth on who's behind the attack on America, and why. They've had fights before; and came out surprisingly well . . . but nothing could've prepared them for what they'll face this time.

On the afternoon of October 28th, Jon leaves his office in Indianapolis early for an appointment. His dad, Mac, and his nephew, Michael, are at work at the nearby prison outside New Castle, Indiana. Mac’s wife, Elisabeth, is at home with Jon’s girls when the power goes out… Everywhere.
Jon’s car quits as he pulls into the parking lot at the medical facility. His phone is dead, too, and he’s still sixty miles from his mom and his daughters.
At the prison, there are bigger problems. WAY bigger.

Mike and Angie Davis were just regular people who enjoyed the outdoors in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Their little community, hidden away in the pines, was the perfect place to raise a family—until everything, everywhere, went dark.
The nearby town of Spearfish had always been quiet and peaceful. That’s where everything was—the schools, the grocery stores, the restaurants… and, just like most little towns, the people. Except they didn’t stay there long once there were no lights, no heat, no food, and no law and order.
What about the parachutes on the cover? Oh, you’re not even going to believe what that’s all about… here in AMERICA.
Can normal citizens even survive such a thing on their own?
In a word—YES.
This is their story. Possibly the most amazing feel-good tale in the Post-Apoc genre, but clean and suitable for most ages.
Robyn VanDerSys knocked it out of the park with this one.

In Volume 1 of The Urban Rabbit Project series "Backyard Meat Rabbits" I wrote for the beginner’s benefit about why to raise rabbits, planning for rabbits and introduced an educational community. In Volume 2, I am joined by a gentleman with over 30 years of knowledge and experience in feeding rabbits naturally. Mr. Rick Worden, owner of Rise And Shine Rabbitry and RiseAndShineRabbitry.com will share with us his take on going Beyond The Pellet. Like myself, Rick has worked extensively at moving away from commercial feed and towards natural feed for our rabbits. We write this together, aimed at a more advanced audience of Rabbiteers looking to take control of what their rabbits eat, what their feed costs are and ultimately what they eat.
Someone once said that civilization is nine meals away from anarchy. Jared Culp, a Silicon Valley computer engineer, discovers that saying to be horrifically true. After a massive solar flare causes the complete failure of the power grid, society doesn't just teeter on the edge of collapse, it completely falls apart.
While most wait for the government to come save them, Jared, acting on instinct, takes immediate action to survive, feeling in his gut that meaningful help—is NOT coming. However, he soon finds out that surviving in a world turned on itself is more dangerous and cutthroat than he could have ever imagined, and nothing his life experiences have prepared him for.
Nearly a year after the solar flare, Jared and his friends realize they can no longer live within the reach of the corrupt military tyrant, Colonel Carnegie, and his small army of soldiers. Jared and company must make a decision: flee, or stay and fight for a better life. With their food stocks running dangerously low, they decide they must stand and face the devil himself. As they embark upon this most dangerous task, Jared agonizes over the possibility of losing friends in a fight for the greater good of the community—against The Devil's Bastion and all his military might.
THE FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL CONTINUES.
After the heart wrenching loss of his mentor, Jared and his new friends’ real test begins. Setting up what they need to stay alive out in the country, and figuring out how to defend against those who would try to take that from them.
But some things you just can’t plan for—and some fights you just can’t win.
