I have to thank the author for bringing back Dez, Cella and Crusher. It brought back so many wonderful memories of The Pride Series. I know that if Dez pops into a story there are crimes happening and shifter carnage will follow. It was time to grab the popcorn and settle in for an exciting story. AMAZING!!
This is Mads and Finn's romance but Breaking Badger is so much more. Every time I thought things would be settling down and they could relax someone was getting kidnapped, shot at, threatened or sent on a wild goose chase. Making it better it wasn't just centered around Mads. This was an equal opportunity shifter brawl.
Breaking Badger is packed full of action and destruction. I honestly didn't know who was going to be in danger next. LOVED IT!!!! The "you don't have to be blood to be family" dynamics added a lot to the story. The Wisconsin Butchers prove through out the story that they are so much more than a team. They may not want to admit it but they are the best family.
Now the only problem is that I am finished. I want to just sit here and wait for the next story. With the Honey Badgers I know that it will be worth the wait.
All of the books written by Shelly Laurenston are some of my absolute favorite. I love the humor, sarcasm, violence, and crassness of the stories and characters. I say this because, like all humor, it's not everyone's cuppa' tea. This book is definitely my cuppa'! Loved this book and looking forward to every 'Badger' book to come.
There were so many pages where I laughed out loud that even though I had planned to take longer to read, savor and finish it...couldn't stop.
I don't want to spoil any thing so I'm just going to say that it's worth every penny for my copy.
Fans will be so happy getting better acquainted with Max's team and stronger a better understanding of the Malone brothers.
It also doesn't hurt that a number of our favorite shifters are in the book ( Dez, Crushek, Cella Malone Dee Ann Smith, and others).
Totally wild ride!
Finn the second oldest brother seems to be the perfect male for Mads. Mads is a terrific character kind, thoughtful, loyal to a fault but still honey badger to the bone with just the right touch of Viking hyena. Her Maxest final solution to the problem of her bullying family was extreme but in the changeling world probably necessary.
The MacKilligan sisters are stellar. Once again their father's weird genes manifest strangely this time in their honey badger/tiger baby sister, Nat Malone. An impulsive headstrong teenager she has manipulated her three older brothers and made an ally of Danny the brother closest to her in age. Her mother chooses to remain clueless. Charlie and Stevie are not fooled by her pronouncements of innocence and try to curb her baser tendencies. Whether the girls succeed was left unresolved as was who murdered the Malone patriarch.
Hopefully the answers will be forthcoming sooner than later

There are hilarious moments that you feel bad laughing about, as they normally involve one of the honey badgers nearly dying. Plenty of action and laughs but this story almost isn’t about Mads and Finn. With so much focus on the shenanigans of other characters, their love story is almost incidental. That said, I still absolutely love this series.
Stripes, is the half brother of Max MacKilligan’s half sister, and a Siberian tiger. Mads day job is playing professional basketball, Finn plays professional football, both also have a Jack for finding trouble, something they share with the MacKiliigan sisters, so settle back and enjoy the ride into the crazy world of the MacKilligans and their friends ———— yes they do have friends.
Violent, funny, not a lot of romance. I liked it a lot, but it can't beat Bite Me.
Mads is a hyena/honeybadger hybrid and Finn is a clueless black tiger. They meet when the badgers are supposed to be rescuing trafficked humans and the tigers are investigating a lead that will tell them who killed their father. The badgers are left stranded by their team but the tigers go back for them. It's on from there.
