It starts off with action but then slows down. Im not sure why the author has these badass heroine's but then makes them all I secure & stupid when with their mates. SMH it gets annoying. I do however love that her books actually are a story with a plot, mystery, action, romance, & yes even tragedy (although I would prefer less of the last one) I Love her series & love how she ties in the books without basically retelling the whole story. If you love strong female roles who can kick butt & still be feminine you'll love this book.
* And most importantly her books aren't just one big sex fest. I HATE that other authors think describing sex repeatedly makes the book better. IT DOES NOT!! ANTICIPATION & LEAD UP do a lot for that part. :)

Where do I even start??? I finally threw in the towel at 80%. I really tried. Ok hear I go. 1. Immature characters. Like seriously Immature. 2. It's like it's following a basic check off list. 3. Cliché af. You have the typical man child that sleeps with anything with 2 legs, they typical mean girl desperately trying to keep her man/not really hers,the insta love thing 🙄, FML of course is his fated mate that they both spent till 78ish % in to finally quit denying it. What a way to start a series!! This one is definitely an emotional roller coaster! I love this author. And she never disappoints. I gotta say, I started the series thinking I’d love for Killian and Sterlyn to be a couple, but I think I like how it’s shaping up. Everyone needs an awesome best friend and griffin needed a reason to step up. Plus Rosemary might be my new favorite! I’m making this review quick because I’m dying to start book 2 cuz that ending literally has me on edge!!

Loved the main character dove. She is my favorite female badass character i enjoy to read! Plus I'm excited to read the second book! Only thing i thought was kind of lame considering i like my alpha males to actually be super alpha and confident and strong and amazing impossible to beat characters not like these lame alpha males that get beat by a female and dont feel like being an alpha that they hand over the responsibility to your beta who's evil allowing yourself to be lead by your balls like a p**** and his first problem to handle he wants to ditch his pack. That's just pathetic and nothing is attractive about that.

The book ends on a cliffhanger.

It’s purely a personal preference, but I prefer it when a writer creates a book that is so good that I want to read the next rather than contriving their ending as a cliffhanger. If an AU, characters, and plot are compelling enough, readers will want more.

In this case, there are problems with the AU, characters, and plot because the author is more invested in setting readers up for a series than writing a great book. As a result, nothing is explained terribly well. The only adult/parent figure, Luna’s father, Dick, is obviously being set up as the villain who murdered Griffin’s father, Killian’s family, and Sterlyn/Dove’s pack. Why? Presumably it will be explained at some point in the distant future.

As for Sterlyn, that name. Lol. It reminds me of MIBIII when J lies to K, saying that he was at Coney Island to meet his girlfriend Shtaren. There were elements to the book that were unintentionally funny which made for a jarring tonal problem contrasted with the graphically violent aspects to the story. For example, Sterlyn/Dove sees her entire pack killed in front of her and the next day she is disappointed the clothes she borrows from Killian’s dead sister’s wardrobe are not to her personal taste. I should think that she would have other things to worry about, but what do I know?

The story was a bit short and felt a bit forced at some points, but it is still a good read. I will be continuing on to the next book in the series. So far my favorite character is Rosemary. I'm curious to where she stands in the plot. I hope the next book goes a little more in depth on who is behind the attacks and touches more on Griffin's and Dove/ Sterlyns relationship.

While not an original concept, I found the first half of this book really engaging and well paced. However, after that it all felt a bit forced in terms of the plot line and character development. I was also a bit disappointed with the description of then fight scenes.
Overall I thought there was a lot of potential and I liked the basic, albeit unoriginal, ideas, but it ended up feeling rushed and contrived. I read the whole thing but I still have no idea about the lead characters personalities. We know some facts about Sterlyns life, and that she is going through some stuff right now, but otherwise, we have no idea about her faults or likes and dislikes (apart from clothing preferences.....come on!) . And the only difference between Killian and Griffin is that she feels a 'tug' towards one instead of the other.......and that's it! There is nothing to distinguish their characters from each other. We never get to know anything about their characters, except that they are both alpha-hoes. As such, the romance really falls flat. I love romance and tried hard to find it, but there wasn't any substantial interaction between the two characters at all. I was disappointed that this author seems to have fallen into the same pattern most authors post-Twilight have: flat, one dimensional characters who you can only tell apart by their names/gender/supernatural abilities.
As mentioned, I liked how it all began, but it feel into the same disappointing patterns as so many shifter novels do these days.
I just can't be bothered to read the next one. I don't even care about the cliff-hanger ending.
Such a shame as I enjoyed the first half!

Sterlyn/ Dove was to be the future Alpha of silver pack unfortunately disaster struck and sends Sterlyn barrelling down the river trying to survive.
Meeting Killian fills the loss of her family and Griffiths her fated mate. But even having two Alpha's in her corner doesn't keep her safe.
Great storyline with epic battles, heartfelt declaration of love and friendship, and found family.
Ends on a cliffhanger. Highly recommended

Did not enjoy as much as I wanted to.

I felt like this book was just lacking in every department - it gave hints of things that could be great but they just weren't fully developed at all. The main lead was far too romanticised for my tastes - I really wanted some sort of reaction to the events in the initial chapter having nothing really made her seem out of touch with reality.

I might read the sequel if only to get some answers to the cliff-hanger but I won't be rushing for it anytime soon.
