Good movie. I watched and liked it all the way through though it was a little long and slow at times.

A decent movie, worth your time. Not a blockbuster but William Forsythe does a pretty good job of capturing a man who lived way beyond a short period of greatness. The thngs that made him great pulled him down some in life where there was no premium for aggression and determination.

worth a watch for boxing fans

Entertaining enough if you like boxing and the history of these men. for someone who held the belt for such a short period, LaMotta seems to have quite a legendary status and fan base. This film, combined with other info, partially explains that - he was just a very tough, aggressive guy who came to fight, toe-to-toe. That style and the punishment he could take have left quite an impression.

Surprisingly terrible

Embarrassingly third-rate movie making. I wouldn't have thought it was possible to make LaMotta's story this boring and lifeless - in this way alone, the filmmakers succeeded.

Tough life

Very interesting to see what life was like for poor Italians in NYC then. So sad the way he was treated by his father- no wonder he enjoyed fights! The apple didn't fall far from the tree.

More of a sleeper than anything. Was hoping for something similar to "Raging Bull".

Not as great as the fighter once was.

Disjointed story. Just jumped around with no real supporting actor development.
