This was an Amazing refurbished item from Amazon. While still expensive because of what it is, it turned out to be brand new. Apparently the box was pretty badly damaged when it arrived to the last buyer's home so they promptly returned it. It was then sold as refurbished by Amazon. It turned out the Styrofoam inside completely protected it and it was brand new inside of that poor beat-down box. What a find!
When you first set it up it will appear legal paper does not fit. Read the instructions or eyeball a YouTube video and see how to release and expand the tray's length to make the legal paper fit perfectly and the door close all the way. It utilizes space behind the printer tray to allow the door to close so you cannot set this up super close to a wall. I put the heavier legal paper in this bottom tray for a better center of gravity.
I order Amazon refurbished/used products quite often now. Some are amazing, some are okay and none are disappointing as long as you open, inspect and use them timely so that you can request assistance or a return if needed. So far, Amazon is standing behind everything so I try to buy from Amazon whenever it makes sense.
