The delightfully comic account of a British couple and their imported cats starting over in a new country continues in Bucket to Greece Volume 12. With humbugs on the loose in the village, Victor is worried about leaving Marigold unprotected when he accompanies Violet Burke on a flying visit to Warrington to pack up the rest of her belongings. Having walked out on Norman and moved into the Bucket spare bedroom, Doreen cobbles together a scarecrow, toys with the oily Christos, and overstays her welcome.
Between losing Mabel the goat and Barry cracking the whip at the old ruin they purchase, Victor barely has the chance to enjoy the Easter celebrations in Meli. Panos shares an evening of trifle and Corrie with Violet Burke, Milton throws a fancy dress party, Guzim discovers a love for curry, and Victor has a little encounter with his childhood nemesis. If you’re a fan of Greek travel and culture then the Bucket to Greece series is a must, with a bucketful of laughs along the way.

The day to day mishaps with Guzim , his Albanian gardener. The lovely Greek people who take them into their hearts. All in all a good read that made me laugh out loud lots and leaves you with a smile on your face and looking forward to the next book.
Each new volume is awaited impatiently and devoured much too quickly and then is reread several times. Always a joy.
