.....so it has to be 'Good'. But I wasn't getting it at first. I wasn't getting it at all. It opens serious, then a few stupid things. So I went and looked at rotten tomato movie ratings and it was a high 7. Ok, so has to be good. Then I started paying attention deeper and I finally got it and it was excellent. You just got to love Brad.

It is a really good, good movie. I ended up watching it 3 times over a weekend.

I just went and saw Bullet Train. Before I give my spoil-free review I have to give props to the trailer. It got people hyped to see the movie and it didn't spoil anything, I mean there was some action but not major. What is up with movies being told out of order? Who would think your fate would end up being hit by a tangerine truck? (lol). Bullet Train is a good nonstop action movie. It has a wide range of characters like Tangerine, Lemon, The Wolf, Ladybug, White Death, and Prince. The action is over the top and cool. I'm not sexist before you call me that, with that being said I couldn't stand The Hornet. I'm not saying girls can't be assassins she didn't fit into this movie. I also think it's odd that that had the WWE star Bad Bunny play The Wolf. Another thing I find odd is Thomas The Train is a plot point. There are only two small things that would have made it better to show more of Hiroyuki Sanada and Andrew Koji, number 2 Not showing or telling what happened to Conor. They need to make a perqure to go more in-depth of White Death. Go see this movie.

A bloody fun time

This movie had a lot of laughs and was far bloodier than I expected. The story revolves around Brad Pitt as a special agent for hire who has given up killing and is sent to retrieve a briefcase from a Japanese bullet train. He runs into nothing but trouble with several assassins upon the train. The story weaves together all different characters and eventually connects them into a giant montage.

The charm came from the actors. Each one had a distinct personality and provided the comedy. Brian Tyree Henry for example meets people, assesses them, and then labels them according to the different trains featured in the kids show Thomas & Friends. Diesels for example are nothing but trouble. He even has a sticker sheet of the different trains which he puts on people after he figures them out. Pitt on the other hand has given up killing because he latched onto a self-help guru. He keeps on trying to explain the man’s philosophy to others but no one wants to listen to him. Not only that but he messes up the guy’s teaching.

Mixed in with the comedy is a lot of action scenes featuring a lot of blood. Henry and his brother Aaron Tyler Johnson for instance argue over how many people they killed before getting on the Bullet Train so they remember the whole event which includes shooting people in the head and skewering them with samurai swords.

Finally, I thought the writing was good as well. It was able to create a large ensemble cast and slowly but surely reveal how each played a role in the overall plot.

The story was all over the place like a cheap horror movie where dead characters keep coming back to life. The comedy was good and just like PF, Lemon (Jewels) survives and Tangerine (Vincent) gets killed by the most unlikely character. There was also a mysterious breifcase except this one wasn't a McGuffin.

It was a thrill ride that could have done without the train and the FX. I'm not saying it wasn't good. It was. But I have seen it all before about 20 years ago. The killing of the main protagonist was predictable.

I say see it if you can suspend your disbelief and accept some of the irregularities. Also there hasn't been a better action/comedy train movie since Silver Streak and that was in the mid 70s. Anyway, that's my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.

Any movie with Brad Pitt is obviously going to be watchable & enjoyable. About 30 min in I wasn't totally sold. It wasn't bad or good & it could be confusing if you weren't giving it 100% of your attention. But at that point I stopped multi-tasking & it continued to get better from there. Not the greatest movie in the world (& a couple of parts were super exaggerated but like a lot of movies, if you go into it not expecting everything to be accurate to reality, then you wont be disappointed) but I enjoyed it & would recommend it! Its got suspense, intrigue & humor. And the ending was awesome! I was like 🤦‍♀️ (something that should be obvious wasnt & yeah, just 🤦‍♀️)! The ending was fabulous & almost reminiscent of
... well if you're old enough & you know? You'll know. But that was just the icing so to speak even if you weren't around a few decades ago to enjoy the ending fully? You will still like this funny (albeit a bit violent) adventure!
