Whatever you do, do not listen.
Ignore that pull, the need to escape from drudgeries of life and find peace and solitude within nature. It is not the cool breeze and the scent of pine that whispers your name.
No, these things within the forest will rip out your heart and devour your soul. You will tremble as they revel in your madness, taking everything from you and leaving you with nothing. Delve inside this anthology of what truly lurks within the shadows of the trees.
Created by award-winning horror and fiction authors around the world. We dare you to take this journey with us and find out what horrors await you.
The Forest Is Calling. Will you answer?

"The Hike" By E.E.W. Christmas - A weekend getaway turns disastrous for Steph, when she wakes to find Becca missing and their car destroyed.
"Forest Man" By Holley Cornetto - A group of old friends reminisce about the summer that changed their lives forever and they soon realize some things should be left in the past.
"Hollow Woods" By Brian Duncan - Making friends is hard, but Emma soon realizes that her new friends aren't who she thinks they are, and the Florida Everglades can be a dangerous place.

The Sixties were a time of great cultural upheaval, when long-established social norms were challenged and everything changed: from music to fashion to social mores. And the Leave It to Beaver households in Middle America didn’t know what to make of it all.
In the midst of this, private eyes tried to understand and bridge the generational divide while providing their clients with legal and extra-legal detecting services.
From old-school private eyes with their flat-tops, off-the-rack suits, and well-worn brogues to the new breed of private eyes with their shoulder-length hair, bell-bottoms, and hemp sandals, the shamuses in Groovy Gumshoes take readers on a rollicking romp through the Sixties.
With stories by Jack Bates, C.W. Blackwell, Michael Bracken, N.M. Cedeño, Hugh Lessig, Steve Liskow, Adam Meyer, Tom Milani, Neil S. Plakcy, Stephen D. Rogers, Mark Thielman, Grant Tracey, Mark Troy, Andrew Welsh-Huggins, and Robb White.

At the cutting edge of crime fiction, Mystery Weekly Magazine presents original short stories by the world’s best-known and emerging mystery writers.
The stories we feature in our monthly issues span every imaginable subgenre, including cozy, police procedural, noir, whodunit, supernatural, hardboiled, humor, and historical mysteries. Evocative writing and a compelling story are the only certainty.
Get ready to be surprised, challenged, and entertained--whether you enjoy the style of the Golden Age of mystery (e.g., Agatha Christie, Arthur Conan Doyle), the glorious pulp digests of the early twentieth century (e.g., Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler), or contemporary masters of mystery.
Sci-Fi, Supernatural, Horror, Humor, Pulp & Noir … Mystery Weekly Magazine's April 2019 issue has it all!
In our cover feature, “The Persistence Of Illusion” by Bond Elam, Detective Harry Sturgis finds himself stuck with a twenty-five-year-old case and the last thing he expects is to get himself killed. Though, in truth, his death isn't entirely a surprise.
“One Night At The Pine Lake Motel” by Blu Gilliand finds two pro wrestlers and one disbelieving spectator on a collision course with trouble on a hot summer night at a seedy Alabama motel.
In “Tangerines And Wild Garlic” by Steve Toase, Sarah travels to Ben's hometown to meet his family, but when she finds herself in the midst of a town tradition is everything what it seems?
PTSD can trigger many reactions, including paranoia. What if the enemies are not figments? Who will believe you if you can't trust yourself? Find out in “Paper Soldier” by Al Onia.
In “Andromeda Smiled” by C.W. Blackwell, retired detective Charlie Kane is lured from his solitude to reprise his role as a famous gumshoe. But will the Andromeda case be his undoing?
“Honey's Turn” by Michael Cahlin & Beth Slick is a twisted his and her love story and what happens when a good love goes really, really bad.

Saddle up for a wild ride through the weird, weird west. As you ride our trails you’ll want to keep one eye on the path ahead and one over your shoulder cause there’s a bushwhacking monster creeping up behind you. If your horse gets eaten by a monster, you might be able to get a ride on the midnight train, as long as you don’t mind sitting with ghosts. If you don’t catch the train, maybe the devil can give you a lift back to town. Just be careful which place you head for, because the folks in one town are about to die. Staying on ranches ain’t much safer, especially at one girl’s birthday party. Then again, even going to outhouses can be deadly. If you happen to visit the local brothel, be sure and treat the ladies right or you’ll pay dearly. And Tombstone is no place to get your picture taken if you want to keep your skin.
