I loved it!! Gritty, hardcore and hood...REAL street-ish! I liked seeing the Familiar faces, kept me watching and wanting more! I also enjoyed the plot twist... A MUST SEE! Keep putting BLO on the map!! Job Well Done!!!
I liked the realness of the story lines. I always feel partially down when watching these kinds of movies because it is based on real life. The streets were never meant for any of us to die there...its a WHOLE TRAP. The projects are a project where you witness a severe lack of resources and watching people do whatever to survive. The immature relations between men and women are also a serious dysfunction of that kind of environment that breeds single parenthood. I was pleasantly surprised to see the part when the man proposed, that was an overlooked important part of the film. Slow down, do what you can to get legit, and let your purpose and legacy be family...not dying in the streets on blocks you claim are yours but don't own. Free yourself mentally and whoever else you can. Part 2 LETS GO!
I listen to the musicians and know a bit of the background of the movie being that I'm from Buffalo, seeing it is believing it though, this is a wonderful movie and I definitely suggest that everyone who likes gangster hood movies take a look. It shows the life of how twisted someone's past can mix with the future they want to create and distort their goals within our inner cities, this is a movie based on so many lives from people who get out of prison and have to face similar circumstances and how easy it is to get twisted up and become a product of a system when faced with many hard decisions. Bravo
I’m pleasantly surprised at how good this movie was! The acting was impeccable all due to excellent directing. I don’t usually watch these movies because they’re usually poorly made with awful acting. The storyline was on point and it held my FULL attention all the way through! Hurry up for part 2! Want to see if Valentine survived and what comes of Hunter. This movie was very relatable in so many ways.
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 is because there were too many people to keep up with. I couldn’t keep up with all the faces when some of the characters resembled each other LOL. However I really liked the movie. I always enjoy a good indie film especially a hood one. The acting was a lot better than you usually get in these movies I can see great potential in a lot of the actors.. can’t wait for part two I even want to be in it LOL!
