For Samsung Cellphone: It is NOT compatible with Galaxy A series phone such as Galaxy A11/ A31/ A70 and etc.
If your USB-C host supports DP Alt Mode but the cable doesn’t work, we suggest you:
- Please make sure that you have chosen the correct input source. For example, your TV has three HDMI ports 1, 2, 3, when you connected HDMI 1, you should choose HDMI 1 as your TV’s input source with your TV’s remote control.
- Update the BIOS and graphic card driver from your laptop’s official website, then restart your laptop to try again.
- Set the laptop’s resolution as 1080P or lower.
- If you use docking station to convert, please directly connect your USB-C host to HDM equipped display without using the dock.
If it disconnects frequently, please:
- Keep the cable connected stable and tighten. Don’t move the cable, laptop and monitor during using.
- Take off your cellphone case.

I had this delivered to me on Friday 3/20/20, so I’ve had it for only 3 days and used it once. I bought this cord to use in conjunction with a MiniDisplayPort to HDMI cord I already own (by another brand), so I could connect my work’s MacBook Air to my home iMac. I’m currently working from home and wanted a bigger screen. I had this plugged in for maybe all of two minutes while searching for my other cord and immediately started to smell a chemical burning odor. I’m lucky both of my computers are still completely fine (the MacBook actually cut off power supply because it was drawing way too powerful of a charge). More importantly, I’m glad I didn’t have a small fire on my hands in my apartment!

Tried using adapters instead and that seems to be working better than this
I would not recommend this cable for you macbook 16 inch at all.
