Review
"The Captive Girl is the third book in the Dan Stone series, and continues to offer thriller and suspense readers an exceptional read. Evangeline, the heroine in this story, has lived with the presence of security in her rich world for all of her life. She's also lived with the notion of 'horrors in the basement' which have cost her mother's life on the day that begins this story, but successfully makes her long-planned escape through a tunnel that releases her to Zurich and the world.
"[Dan's] work as a professional sniper involves striking targets from afar; but this latest mission will immerse him in close encounters he isn't prepared for, as a cat-and-mouse set of experiences challenges even his extensive training and familiarity with missions.
"As The Captive Girl alternates perspectives, experiences, objectives and events, readers are treated, again, to a multifaceted thriller that requires no prior familiarity with Dan Stone's persona or prior missions in order to prove satisfying. The dilemma of a possible romance which pairs Jane with a paid assassin who happens to be her own employee completes a spicy, action-packed read that promises to keep readers guessing about outcomes, motivations, and connections right up to the end."D. About the author

After receiving a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Masters of Education, David began his working career as a teacher…until he was seduced by motorcycles. He threw himself into racing and left teaching to open a motorcycle dealership, thereby starting a dual career as motorcycle dealer and racer. After achieving some level of racing success, he realized his future did not lie on the track (not really built for the sport, being six feet, four inches tall). The motorcycle business expanded into the fitness business, and he went on to build a twenty-seven store regional chain.
Always a voracious reader with a vivid imagination, since leaving the business world, he began writing full-time. He and his wife recently moved to the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay to a house with a wonderfull writing nook on the second floor (big selling feature).
"After the Fall: Jason's Tale" was my first book published. It is a post apocalyptic story that rose to #1 in both PA and dystopian categories. After two sequels, I started witing in the thriller genre as well, starting with "Payback". Six books later, I'm enjoying my protagonist, Dan Stone, as he deals with terrorists across the globe. I plan to write in both series as long as possible (story lines sometimes run out of gas.) See my book list for complete bibliography.

Some good action and drama as well as the spiritual element coming into play; which I would normally groan at but it's pretty interesting so far.
Fast moving and good research on the whole with few inconsistencies, but minor.
Starting the next in the series presently......
Thanks for a good read
