Terrific Fantasy
Wonderful dark fantasy. If all you can focus on are f-bombs instead of looking at who is saying them and the circumstances involved, you need to watch Disney movies only. There is a caste system going on so any rough language is indicative of the different people in the show. The characters are believable and wonderful.

Well made adult-minded fantasy series.
Listen, if you are like all the one star reviewers that are offended by any curse word, any act of sexuality outside of the m/f dynamic, or are simply just easily offended... don't watch the show. It is a gritty, adult fantasy that will ensnare you. If you are a fan of character driven dramas, action, and all things fantastical, this is a winner. I have been waiting somewhat impatiently for a new fantasy series to come out that would not disappoint. As most fans of the fantasy genre know, it is so hit or miss with whether a production will be wonderfully constructed, or terribly flawed. Thankfully, this proves to be the former.
The world building is complex, the social issues are relatable, and the characters are quite fascinating.

Now, would I let my kid watch this show, probably not. But I wouldn't let her watch Game of Thrones or the like either. This is not a Hallmark movie, it's not a Disney show, it's not a feel good family romp.... it is a complex fantasy series crafted for adults. It deals with dark themes, think Jack the Ripper-esque stories with a fantasy twist. So, if you enjoy series like True Blood, Game of Thrones, or simply enjoy reading fantasy/sci-fi novels... this is a show that is sure to sate your appetite!

Swearing...not cool
So tired of the swearing in all the new shows lately (not cool). Could have been a good show -- but the swearing really is a turn off -- whats the deal? Can't they write without the "F" word? not everyone is low class

Show says it is rated TV-14. It is not.
The show says it is rated TV-14, and after the 12th F-bomb I figured I had to let go of language being part of the rating, and the show surely can't get worse than what I was seeing. Then, there's a quick shot to a sex scene with a man with half his butt showing thrusting behind a woman with exposed breasts in the first episode. Looks like the episodes are rated individually and the show as a whole took the lowest rating of all of them, which seems criminal. This is so wrong. I am angry Amazon would let this happen.

Great production design but everything else...
A truly stunning looking series. However, I'm bone tired of being force fed messages at the expense of story structure and entertainment value. Someone really needs to drive home the point to writers and directors that their job is not to push forward social agendas but to entertain. That's why they call it the "entertainment industry." While I most often agree with the world view being put across in television and film these days, it gets tedious as hell. What's wrong with a little escapism now and then?

What is this show rated?
They've been advertising this show coming out, as a TV14 show. Now that it's available, the 1st episode is rated TVMA and all of the seven other episode are rated 16+

I'm very disappointed I got my 14 year old daughter all hyped up for a new fantasy/steam punk show that now we can't actually watch.

Well done Amazon Prime.

Love this thing!
I'm half way through the series and I can tell you this is one of my favorite shows in a long time! Amazing story, acting and setting. I strongly recommend you check this out! I must say Cara Delevingne gives a stand out performance! She really proves her acting chops in this show and I cant wait to see where her acting career goes from here!
