About the authors
Katya de Becerra was born in Russia, studied in California, lived in Peru, and then stayed in Australia long enough to become a local. She was going to be an Egyptologist when she grew up, but instead she earned a PhD in Anthropology. Katya is a short version of her real name which is very long and gets mispronounced a lot. What The Woods Keep is her first novel. She loves to connect with readers and fellow authors, so please get in touch @KatyaDeBecerra

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book (I love horror but I don't read a lot of stories featuring femme fatales) but oh my goodness, I enjoyed it so much! The stories are all very well written and unique and there were so many twists and reveals that I simply did not see coming! My favorite story by far was Roundup by Miracle Austin (I'd honestly love to see it as a full-length novel or a graphic novel... then a movie?? Or a series? Maybe?). Seriously, it was so cool and creepy and I did not see the twist coming at all! I also really enjoyed Preservation by Shelli Cornelison. It was so disturbing but for some reason I kind of loved it? Every single story in this anthology is worth a read, however, and I'm certain that I'll read them again.
