About Chad Rohrbacher
Hailing from the home of Jamie Farr, and hoping to sponsor an LPGA tour of his own one day, Chad spent his early years on the mean streets of Toledo, OH. It made such an impression that his novel, KARMA BACKLASH, is set in those very streets. It's a revealing tell all of Toledo terror.
When he’s not writing or reading future stories for Shotgun Honey Magazine, Chad spends his days illuminating the minds of college students at NCA&T.
He's been awarded a Louisiana Division of the Arts grant and an Ohio Arts fellowship as well as placed in a number of international contests for his writing. You can find many of his short stories and poems in magazines and journals like Beat to a Pulp, Needle, Crime Factory, Big Pulp, Silverblade, and others.
He lives with his family in the wilds of North Carolina. You can also check out his site at www.chadrohrbacher.com and follow him on twitter: @chadrohrbacher

How should I use technology in my courses? What impact does technology have on student learning? Is distance learning effective? Should I give online tests and, if so, how can I be sure of the integrity of the students’ work? These are some of the questions that instructors raise as technology becomes an integral part of the educational experience.
In Quick Hits for Teaching with Technology, award-winning instructors representing a wide range of academic disciplines describe their strategies for employing technology to achieve learning objectives. They include tips on using just-in-time teaching, wikis, clickers, YouTube, blogging, and GIS, to name just a few. An accompanying interactive website enhances the value of this innovative tool.
It started online when a group of writers and editors learned that a friend, writer and book blogger Sabrina Ogden, needed expensive jaw surgery. So they did what writers and editors are best at doing—they put together a book of killer fiction to benefit Sabrina. After a successful fundraising publication through an indiegogo project, they, along with Sabrina, decided to make FEEDING KATE available to everyone, and keep the fundraising going to benefit The Lupus Foundation of America.
From the Foreword:
“Our guidelines [for FEEDING KATE]? The stories had to involve food or involve a character named Kate. The result is a broad selection of story genres—from pulp to horror to comedy to crime to young adult—by writers with just as wide a range of voices and publishing experience. Like Sabrina, each piece is unique. One of the surest proofs of her specialness is that nearly three-fourths of the stories in the collection were written especially for her and this project.”
