Smell amazing, don't bother me

I received the "peace + tranquility" candle as a gift for Christmas. I loved the smell so I wanted to try others. "Joy + laughter" smells amazing. I will say "peace + tranquility" has a more clean/refreshing smell, while "joy + laughter" is more sweet- almost like a perfume. I plan to try more scents in the future because I love these so much! Definitely would recommend. PS. I am sensitive to strong scents (sometimes get headaches from them) and these do not bother me.

P.S. I originally wrote this review in 2018 and am still absolutely obsessed with this candle and will continue to order!

First of all, there is NO scent to this candle, but that is not what has me so upset. When burning, it is so smokey, sooty & even with the wick trimmed. As far as being safe, if they have to put on the candle "No ADDED Formaldehyde", how much is in it already????? This was the WORST candle I have EVER purchased. It says "California Formaldehyde Compliant"!!!! This is the very first candle that ever had those words written on it. Needless to say, when I just took it out of my collection to start burning it, and read all this (today!) It went right in the trash shortly after lighting it as I was negligent in reading it first. SHAME ON ME!!!!! No, I can't get a refund, because they closed the window of returns, but I will NEVER buy one of their product again!

I bought 4 packs of 2. 4 total candles were in ok shape. 1 was shattered, 3 had scratches to the wood top. 2 had scratches to the glass sides. Most had weird uneven air pockets where it looked like the candles had melted while laying on their side. Bought and shipped in December, so they didn’t sit in any heat. Definitely won’t buy again. I guess I now need to go to the trouble of shipping broken glass back to amazon, ugh.

Illuminating Colored Glass is Beautiful But Scent Needs Work

I ordered the balance candle. It was nice to open the box and see the seller took such care with packaging to ensure no damage could occur during shipping (see attached photo). The seller not only wrapped in bubble wrap, but also used plastic wrap around to secure it and paper to keep the product secure in the box. I love the color of the glass, but the label sticker was not straight, so minor quality control issue; not a big deal. When lit, the colored striped glass gives a beautiful visual (see attached photo lit). The one thing I think is misleading is that underneath the scent name “Balance” (side note, does not help you identify the scent) it says “orange”. That would lead me to believe that orange is a primary fragrance of the candle. When you look at the description, though, orange zest is listed as the fifth or sixth fragrance note; I would assume the notes are listed in order of strength. When I opened the candle, I definitely didn’t get any hint of orange. I would try other scents, but would not buy this particular scent again. My husband said it smells like Glade meaning it smells more manufactured instead of more natural.

Inconsistent scent quality

I own four of these candles. Two of them (peace & tranquility and balance & harmony) are very fragrant and can fill a room. The other two, which are both serenity & calm (lavender thyme) bought at the same time, have little to no scent at all. I'm wondering if it's a bad batch? The burn time on all of the candles is good. They seem to last as long as they say.

Candle tip I recently learned - Make sure when you light it for the first time you let it burn long enough so that the wax melts all the way to the edge. Apparently candles have 'memory' and if you don't do this the next time you light it it will only burn as far out as when previously lit and then you end up with a bunch of unused wax.

Dangerous Product: Buyer Beware

Last night, the glass cracked in apparent heat from the open flame. Glass shards burst all over my floor and nearby bed, and a few cut me. Very disappointed.

The company should use a better glass (so that the flame can't crack it). Buyer beware.

This scent is absolutely awful in my opinion. I wouldn’t gift it to anyone I know because I wouldn’t want to smell it when I go see them. I can’t imagine this scent getting this many good reviews because even if there are people who like it, no one that has smelled it liked it from my experience, so it certainly isn’t a fragrance that is somewhat universal. There are multiple layers of fragrances but it doesn’t smell really like the crisp eucalyptus or lemongrass smell to me. It doesn’t smell clean. There’s a heavy cologne smell at the end of the smell as well.

I've ordered this candle for my daughter many times (it's her favorite scent from this company) since I never had an issue with any of the other candles i ordered before.... I didn't even unbox it. I gifted this to my daughter among other things. Well she thought i was playing a joke on her. The candle was definitely used! two of the wicks looked burned off completely, the third had been lit for sure. It looked like the wax was melted and there was wax all over the wooden cover. This is so annoying!!! there is always an issue when ordering anything from Amazon. Packages arrive broken or used . I'm Done ordering from them.

How does one order a new candle.. and when it arrives.. it’s already been used?? Ok- No, it’s not been used a lot but, it appears about 1” below the actual line.. and the wick is burnt!! I’m not certain how or, where this issue fell through the cracks- but, somewhere it missed Quality Control.. Guessing it was a return from another buyer.. restocked without being inspected appropriately and resold..?! See photos I included..

I’ve ordered this exact candle (brand, style and flavor) in the past and knowing how much I’ve enjoyed.. it seemed like a great choice when I found myself looking! So, being familiar with both Amazon and the candle company it seems out of character to receive this. A candle arriving in this condition is not conducive with either- Yankee candle company or, Amazon standards!! So, a disappointment or, let down for sure to receive this the way I did.

I mention this for those ordering for gift giving purposes.. sure! This may be a fluke!? Or, something that’s not The end of the world for the buyer... then again- if buying a new product it should arrive new!?

Love the product, love the smell, love the quality, love the aesthetic’s.. do not love it’s been used before!!

I love burning candles at home, especially when the weather is colder. I buy candles from many different places and they don't necessarily have to be an expensive brand. I constantly saw this brand as "Amazon recommended", I saw all the good reviews and decided to buy the Refresh + Rejuvenate.

It came thoughtfully packaged, really nice presentation with the wooden lid and vibrantly colored jar. I really liked the smell of the candle cold, but I thought it was a bit subtle.

I cut the wicks evenly and lit them. I was surprised there was little to no smell. An hour later and I still couldn't smell it without sticking my nose right above it. I usually have a very perceptive nose, but with this virus affecting people's sense of smell I thought I'd ask my family. We all agreed, the scent is very light, it definitely doesn't fill a medium sized room, much less my living room. At $15 for a three wick candle it doesn't break the bank, but I have paid half of that for more fragrant candles.

This is the third time I light the candle, I'm sitting right in front of it and all I can smell is the mandarin I had 20 minutes ago.

I love the container that this candle is held in. The scent however smells a little musty and like cologne. To some, that's appealing, but honestly for me it smelled like a high school men's locker room. I did try their mint/basil however and it was fantastic.
