This is awesome in Morning coffee, With 25g of protein, there is just enough chocolate flavor for a light mocha flavor, but not like you are drinking a chocolate milk shake. The sweetness is a little strong for me, so I do add in a spoonful of straight dark cocoa. I have also used this with vanilla yogurt and frozen it after blending to make chocolate vanilla "ice cream"
Honestly, great stuff. The chocolate flavor is superb and not too sweet. I think it’s the best protein powder I’ve tasted yet. The protein profile is good too. One small negative, it doesn’t mix the easiest into liquids but I’m nitpicking.
Just a random observation, but the packaging is a bit understated. If I were the company, I’d change the packaging into something more eye-catchy like all the other protein brands.
This is not bad, by any means. I made a quick shake with ice and almond milk, and it tasted fine. It isn't too strong, so next time I may use a full scoop to get more flavor. I thought I wouldn't need all of that, because the scoop was so deep, but I was wrong. The flavor seems pretty good from what I could tell. It's not gonna taste like a frosty or anything, but it's not bad.
This whey protein is pretty good. It tastes good and mixes well. I’ve tried it with the mixer bottle, a small battery operated mixer, and the blender. It mixed well with all of them. The best with a blender. It has good ingredients and it’s not too high in carbs, fat, or sugar. And has a whopping 26g or protein. Sometimes I take a little less than a full serving as a result. It’s good protein
I like the flavor for the most part, although it is just a bit sweeter than I would have preferred. It mixes easily though, and that is a huge bonus. In the same vein, I was stoked to find a chocolate protein powder without sugar or sucralose. This product uses stevia leaf and that is my preference.
This is not a meal replacement. It’s a protein supplement. I use it after a weight lifting session at the gym. That being said, it has 26 grams of protein, mixes easily, and doesn’t have a heavy chocolate taste, which is my preference. However, it has a Stevia after taste - which I hate. Also, it doesn’t contain any BCAAs.
I used this a couple different ways, w/peanut butter with milk and with banana. Each time the whey came through too strong making for a sour butter taste that was hard to handle. The directions recommend using with something that already has a lot of protein. Maybe that would help ?
I've tried so many protein powders; I've had trouble finding a low carb/low sugar that doesn't taste bad. This offers it all - - great taste, low carb/sugar. Thank you!!!!!!!! Good chocolate taste with just the right amount of sweetness.
The NovaPro Whey Isolate Protein Powder Chocolate Meal Replacement is here on my desk for review. I poured 12 ounces of unsweetened vanilla almond milk into my shaker container and then added one scoop of the protein powder into the liquid. I then mixed the powder and almond milk in my soda fountain shaker for about a minute. When the powder and milk were thoroughly mixed, I poured the liquid into my mug, which I have here on my desk.
This NovaPro beverage has a light milk chocolate flavor with a hint of sweetness in it. It is creamy and soft on the palate. It does not taste like a soda fountain shake, but we know that it is health food and we don’t have false expectations. As my son-in-law is fond of telling me, “It is what it is!”
The ingredients in the powder are fairly simple: Whey Protein Isolate, Cocoa Powder, Natural Flavors, Xanthan Gum, Monk Fruit (Siraitia grosvenorii), Salt, Stevia Leaf Extract (Rebaudioside A) and Sunflower Lecithin. I find nothing objectionable in this list. One serving of this beverage contain 26 grams of protein – 52% of our daily requirement. That’s a bit more protein than we usually find in drinks of this kind.
Bottom line: For those readers who want to add a significant amount of protein to their diet, this NovaPro Chocolate Whey Protein may be just what they are looking for. The taste, while not great, is perfectly acceptable. Recommended.
