I loved the book and the series. It is the first in the series that does take place near Cedar Mountain Lodge. Hailey and her husband have moved to Florida. It will be the first Christmas without her Mom and sisters since they they were all brought together by adoption. Hailey meets an adorable little boy and his pregnant mother. The story is so sweet and captured me immediately. Another good books in the series.

Last year, five authors each wrote one book for the Soul Sisters at Cedar Mountain Lodge Series. It was a huge success, and they have done it again this year. Once again, fans are being treated to heartwarming stories that take place during Christmas. This review is for book ten, Christmas Castles, written by Judith Keim. Christmas Castles is the story of Hailey and Nick, and picks up two years after Christmas Kisses.

Hailey and Nick now live in Florida, and are adjusting to their new location and life in general. Happily married, the one thing they want more than anything is to have children, but so far, it has not happened. This is also the first Christmas Hailey will not be with her mother and sisters in Granite Ridge, and that has not been easy for Hailey.

When a chance encounter leads to an unexpected friendship, Hailey and Nick begin to realize what life could be like when they finally have children of their own. However, life never goes the way we expect it to. When tragedy strikes, their lives are changed in ways they never could have never imagined. They say everything happens for a reason, and Hailey and Nick are beginning to see the truth behind that.

Once again, Judith Keim has written a heartfelt and heartwarming story. It was pure joy to catch up with Hailey and Nick, and to see where life has taken them since the last book. I loved the premise of this novella and teared up in some parts of the story, but definitely smiled at the ending. This is the perfect Christmas read, as well as the entire Soul Sisters at Cedar Mountain Lodge Series.

A wonderful holiday read

This is the first book I have read about the Soul Sister books, and it was a great one to start with. I loved Nick and Haiely’s story, as it gives lots of background about the series and how they came to be a couple. Like all Judith Keim’s books, you get a wonderful and compelling story.

Hailey and Nick have been married a couple of years and live in Florida on the beach. They have a lot of love to give each other and someday hope to give that love to their children. Although they are trying, no babies have come their way yet. As a successful writer of children’s books, Hailey volunteers at the local library where she has struck up a friendship with the librarian. Hailey loves to read her books and other children’s books and she strikes up a friendship with a woman, who has a lot in common with Hailey, and her young son. She soon is having them to her house and is helping out Linnie by looking after Brody. Having him gives her a look into what life will be like with a child of their own. Little do Hailey and Nick know what life has in store for them with Brody and his little sister Luna when these two sweet children come into their lives.

I am still coming down from the emotional roller-coaster that this book gives you. Judith Keim really knows how to keep her readers griping the pages of this book with her wonderful, heartwarming and heart tugging books. She gives you wonderful characters that will soon seem like old friends and gives you some smiles as well as tears. I know when I start a Judith Keim book that I am going to be wanting to rush to the end, but read each page as slowly as I can because I do not want the books to end.
