Enhance your purchase
An uplifting, beautiful and totally heartwarming tale about the magic of family at Christmas, the importance of chasing your dreams, and the unbeatable feeling of falling in love under the mistletoe.
Christmas is always the toughest holiday for Lila Evans––a heartbreaking reminder of losing her father… This year, she’s organized a cozy getaway with her closest friends. She might not have a family to call her own, but it should be just the remedy for the December blues.
On the way to their festive vacation, Lila stops at a coffee shop in Pinewood Hills. But the rugged, surly owner Theo Perry doesn’t offer a warm small-town welcome. Despite her best efforts, Lila’s met with an icy reception.
At least she has Fireside Cabins, tucked in the snowy Tennessee hills, to look forward to. Except it turns out to be far from a winter wonderland––there isn’t a shred of Christmas spirit in their tumbledown cabin and the owner, a widow named Eleanor Finely, confesses that the resort is on the brink of closure. Lila instantly wants to help––tearful Eleanor clearly has no one and Lila knows exactly how that feels…
When a burst pipe floods their cabin, Lila turns to Theo for help. As much as his coldness infuriates her, she can’t deny that on the rare occasions when he does smile, it feels like coming home.
As Lila does her best to bring some sparkle to Fireside Cabins, and to warm up frosty Theo, could Pinewood Hills hold her new beginning––and the family she’s always longed for? And, with a dusting of Christmas magic, spiced cider and sugarplum pie, could this be the first holiday she’s not alone?
Indulge in this glittering page-turner that might just prove, at this magical time of year, that anything is possible… Christmas at Fireside Cabins is the perfect treat for fans of Debbie Macomber, Susan Mallery and Sheila Roberts.Readers totally love Christmas at Fireside Cabins:

With this book, we had no idea what Theo was hiding or running away from as Lila had a hard time getting him to even be nice to her when they first met in his coffee shop when she and her friends stopped there on the first day of their vacation!
This is funny - with these winter books - I find I actually FEEL cold as I'm reading some of the scenes outside! So you know I am into it when I'm reading! Also, Jenny loves to mention various foods and drinks that make me want to try them! Another fun part of her novels!
Never hesitate to pick up a Jenny Hale book. It's often just what you need! I know this review might be talking more about Jenny herself than this book, but there are many other reviews that will give you more details on this book. I did enjoy it even though Theo got on my nerves with his stoic manner at first!! Lila was a sweetheart and I'm betting we'd all love to have her as a friend! She does not give up on her friends, and the ending will make you go ahhhhhhh yes!!!!!
Lila and Theo's connection was instant and a little awkward. But they helped each other on a journey toward living the life that they wanted, together at the cabins.
This is a heartwarming escape with some holiday spirit, good friends, family and a romance with a happily ever after that we all want at Christmas.
I enjoy reading all of Jenny Hale's books. They are well-written and they are feel good books that everyone needs once-in-awhile.

On arrival, the town was not as they expected, and other obstacles soon come in their way, and Lila soon realises this may not be the Christmas escape she had in mind. Lila remains uplifted and positive, even when things do not go to plan. She allows nothing to get in the way of celebrating Christmas, and her enthusiasm soon washes off on those she meets. This holiday opens a new door for her, and one that could change her life for the better, is she willing to take that risk?
Lila and her friends coped with a crisis too well, and I felt it was almost unbelievable, giving it more of a fairytale Christmas feel to the story. However, there was nothing wrong with that positively happy touch to the tale. What a lovely world we would live in if everyone was as sweet-natured and kind-hearted as Lila, who embellished the joy of Christmas and never gave up on those who had lost that sparkle. It is her attitude that makes the book an enjoyable read and how she influenced and changed those around her. I was pleasantly surprised in parts as the story did not flow as I first anticipated.
Hale's beautiful use of description conjures up a clear image of the town that I was absorbed into the story as though I was there. I recommend the book to anyone wanting to read something feel-good and Christmassy for the coming months.
Have just finished this, and I did enjoy it.
If you're looking for something lighthearted and christmassy then this is the book for you.
