Jessica is a struggling chef living in a trendy New York borough. Prince Jack, who's in the city for his family's annual Christmas charity dinner, finds himself in need of a last-minute chef for this royal event when he meets Jessica. His parents, a would-be girlfriend and a pushy socialite (and ex-girlfriend) from Jack's home country all stand in the way. But love is a powerful force.

I've watched a lot (and I mean a LOT) of this type of movie, but this is easily the worst. The story line is not believable, the characters are caricatures of themselves, and it all just lacked cohesion and chemistry.

Acting: the main character is awkward, emotionless, and abrasive. The prince is...fine I guess, but he's not going to win any awards for his role here. The supporting actors, especially the main character's mother, are abominable nearly across the board.

Writing: Whoever wrote this could maybe try to practice reading what they wrote out loud before submitting...

Sound: In every scene, the music is overbearing and takes away from everything else that's going on. Dialog isn't drowned out, per se, but it's certainly not being enhanced by the music. How hard is it to hire a sound engineer to balance these things?

What the What?

The plotline made no sense, Why would the Prince (from any country) hold a Christmas banquet in New York City instead of his own country? Why would a women in need of money refuse to be hired? Why would a penthouse suite "a royal" apartment have a refrigerator in view of the Bedroom door? If a prince arrives at 6:30 am on day, why would he not be dressed in the middle of that same day? And why for the love of all thing holiday Why would "royals" use dollar store tinsel to decorate their super important Traditional event?

Didn't finish watching

Here is the thing. I watch Christmas movies to feel happy and uplifted. That said, if the lead character is negative, I can't get past the first 20 minutes. There was probably a happy ending, but when good fortune presents to a woman in need, and she is still surly and ungrateful, I just can't finish watching. (I tried once before to review this, but Amazon rejected it; however, it is STILL a one-star in my opinion, and that is being generous.

I watch about 2 Christmas movies a day from November to Christmas since I work at home. This movie was terrible from the storyline, horrendous lash extensions and lack of chemistry. I can get past bad acting because it’s a typical low budget Christmas movie but this is all around bad. Skip it.

Cringy but cute

Lead actress ruined it for me. I mean seriously, they had a pretty good budget. Same ole hook line and sinker plot that should have just flowed. However, the terrible acting by the lead left it unglued in so many areas. I literally cringed the entire movie. Could have been epic. And one more thing, weaves have come a long way so there is no need to see real hair sticking up. Also, Jessica's wardrobe was horrible! She was an old maid. Unrealistic based on the dialogue that they fell in love and any of this could have happened. I am a die hard romance loving chick and had great hopes for this movie.

Cringey at best

I decided that I needed to watch a Christmas movie to get myself out of a depressed funk I've been in for a few days and boy did this meet that need. I was laughing and cringing the entire movie because the acting is absolutely terrible. It's cheesy as all get out, the plot is weak, the actors were wooden and definitely not believable. I wanted to start taking shots every time the main actress over telegraphed her mood. Watch only if you're looking for something to laugh at because it's that bad.

Unbelievably the worst movie ever. I will admit that the Prince character was a natural, excellent. It was very difficult to finish.
