This film was a surprise because I did not think of Rome as a Christmas City as much as the holiday is celebrated in other media fashionable cities such as London, Paris and New York. However, Rome is the first place Christmas was ever formally celebrated (as ordered by the Roman Emperor Constantine in the fourth century A.D.) and this film is a visual splendor in the scenes of Rome during the Christmas holidays. Lacey Chabert, as always, is excellent and her love interest, Sam Page, is a refreshingly "new" actor in the Hallmark made-for-TV movies. A surprise is the appearance of Franco Nero of "Camelot" movie fame in a supporting role. The gold standard of this holiday romance is the breathtaking visuals of Roman splendor at Christmas. The film is beautifully filmed. I am glad that I took a chance on this delightful film.
