Beautiful Film
Verified purchase
This film was a surprise because I did not think of Rome as a Christmas City as much as the holiday is celebrated in other media fashionable cities such as London, Paris and New York. However, Rome is the first place Christmas was ever formally celebrated (as ordered by the Roman Emperor Constantine in the fourth century A.D.) and this film is a visual splendor in the scenes of Rome during the Christmas holidays. Lacey Chabert, as always, is excellent and her love interest, Sam Page, is a refreshingly "new" actor in the Hallmark made-for-TV movies. A surprise is the appearance of Franco Nero of "Camelot" movie fame in a supporting role. The gold standard of this holiday romance is the breathtaking visuals of Roman splendor at Christmas. The film is beautifully filmed. I am glad that I took a chance on this delightful film.

Roman escape

Delightful film which brought out the best of Rome and Italian culture. Seeing Franco Nero again added so much finesse to the film.

Entertaining and fun

Another cute and lightweight movie with Lacey. Way better than Christmas Town with Candace. This one is not so sweet and cloying. Angela means well but doesn't always stick with the policy. The N.Y. Guy means well too but is often pretty clueless. Leads to the usual misunderstanding...yeah it's predictable and familiar. It's still fun and entertaining and clean. It's also the only way I will ever see Rome. Ps. Bonus is the older Italian gentleman! Pss those two women could never trade clothes!

As advertised

As advertised. I'm buying my favorite Hallmark movies that I like to watch repeatedly. This way I don't have to wait for them to show up on Hallmark's schedule. Wish I could get a few of the older movies. Especially as single issue.

Yup! Occasionally, Hallmark films these movies outside of Canada [or America].

This is actually filmed in Italy.
Beautiful background with a
little, attractive woman that is
famous for wearing six-inch heels.
Hey! (Some of us actually PREFER
"shorties"!)
This was very entertaining, and
ends the way we KNEW it would.

Beautiful Movie and love that Hallmark is going out of the box to other countries. Love both of the stars, they really make the movie.

Boring, slow moving and predictable
Verified purchase
What a predictable snooze fest. Slow moving and you can predict the whole movie in the first 5 minutes. Love Hallmark movies but this was a big fail in my opinion! Not a fan of Sam Page I have discovered. I have loved every movie with Lacy Chabert so I was hugely disappointed with this one.

When In Rome...do as the Romans Do!
Verified purchase
This is now already one of my favorite Christmas movies, definitely worth watching again and again every Holiday season. Everything about this movie was simply beautiful, the festive decorations, the storyline, and the Eternal City itself!

Absolutely worth the money, especially for somebody who loves to do as the Romans do!
