Bad Acting / Bad Writing / Bad green screens / Bad costumes

This movie had to have been made on an extremely tight budget and the target audience must be teenagers who don't care about horrible writing. The details in filming were terrible. The big charity fashion show looks like a cheap hotel Christmas set up in a convention room. Who shows a summer dress at a winter fashion show? Who attends a fashion show wearing clothes from target? Executive reps do not wear plastic jewelry. 1 Poinsettia....really?? that constitutes a magical Christmas?? A Royal Prince only brings 3 presents??? seriously? just bad all around

Very badly written
Verified purchase
One of the reasons this type of movies is kind of hard to take is they are so badly written. The boss goes off for a few days and leaves her assistant in charge. Later that evening while watching TV with a friend the assistant says, "if she would only give me a chance to prove myself." When the boss leaves the number two person in charge, THAT IS GIVING her a chance. Maybe the writers of this stupid movie just don't understand this, but it makes the movie look very badly written. Another thing that made me laugh. The man accompanying the Prince comments regarding the lack of traffic in on the streets in Beveryly Hills, "that no one gets up before 10." I used to work in Beveryly HIlls, and I had to be to work by 7. We aren't on the streets driving because we are ALREADY at work. Idiot man. haha (there again, really badly written movie.) Trying to funny I guess, but no one that works in BH is laughing I bet.

Fantasy Tale with a Heart

This was quite a surprising film. Quite heart warming. To be sure the costuming has left a lot to be desired, and the prince would never walk around without security, so Kristen would never have been able to pull off the charade that she did. However it was very heart warming in the scenes with Amy in the hospital and the meaning of charitable giving. I watch films to be entertained and to forget hard times, and this film certainly delivered. It was a fantasy in a way, because it was completely unrealistic. But I loved it non the less. One star was taken off for bad costuming, and lack of proper security for a prince.

I like this genre of movie and always find Cindy Busby to be a pleasant surprise. I have always loved her since Heartland days. If you enjoy the Hallmark type movies and enjoy the ones with royal twists in them, you'll like this one.

The sweetest dang thing you ain't never done seen

This movie just touched my heart in a way that no movie ever has. It warmed me to the core as if I was drinking hot apple cider on a summer's day in the middle of Nevada. I feel like this movie could inspire a nation to yet again come together in the time of Christmas.

Feel-good Christmas movie
Verified purchase
I liked the plot and loved the characters of the Prince and Kristin. I liked that they didn't make the boss evil at the end. The usual typical playboy, chauvinistic Princes usually is at the plot of these Christmas Princes movies but I liked that they didn't make his character seem so. It was sort of hinted in the beginning but he turned out to be a complete gentleman. I think they both had good chemistry and it's a feel-good Christmas movie!

No chemistry

I love Christmas romance movies, but this movie was terrible. Many Christmas romance movies have silly plots, but usually the romance redeems the whole silly story. The plot of this particular movie was ridiculously silly, and there was no chemistry between the lead actor and lead actress, so there was nothing redeemable about this movie.

Cute but disappointing

Amy went on to become a doctor after being orphaned and medically challenged? If this couple were so altruistic they should have become her forever family. I felt this film paid surface tribute to orphans to gain a "feel-good" credit without really addressing the need for meaningful long-term commitment to the health and well-being of those without family.
