The author literally transports you from your current location into the town of Silver Falls. The people are so relatable you feel as if they are your friends and your family. The chemistry between Scarlett and Charles is fantastic, from the little spark the first time they met to their developing relationship. This is another Jenny Hale book that is so engrossing that you can’t put it down. I highly recommend any book with this author’s name on it.

I always enjoy reading a book by Jenny Hale, and Christmas at Silver Falls was another winner. The snowy setting and cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect book to read at Christmas and during Winter. Scarlett and her family are at the family’s Inn, White Oaks, for their annual Christmas celebrations. A man named Charlie staying at the cabin down the hill has a brooding demeanor and is just the type of man Scarlett needs to avoid if she is going to make good on her promise to herself to stop trying to fix people, if she can just ignore the butterflies whenever she is around him. He also happens to be the one person Scarlett believes can help her family keep the Inn and restore its vitality. The focus of the story is mostly the plight to save the inn, and the dynamics surrounding trust, family, and love.

The loving, supportive and close-knit family and small town setting added a special elements to the story. The reconnecting and creating a new bond with a childhood friend was something special.

I Love reading Christmas stories. I especially enjoy reading well-written and descriptive stories like this one. I liked that All of the characters in this story were very realistic - the grandmother, the family members and the town's people.

I am looking forward to reading another one of Jenny's books!
