5.0 out of 5 starsA Father and Daughter go head to head in a huge legal case with issues

Love it, love it, love it!!! Great courtroom drama at the end. Great story from the beginning. Everyone played their parts well. Laurence Fishbourne, Mr. Hackman and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. She is so beautiful and smart in this movie. If you love a good mystery, and seeing the good guys win, you will like this one. It is an oldy but a goodie. A Father and Daughter, both attorneys but one a prosecutor, the other a defense attorney with a whole lot of family history conflict between them wind up on the same case. The only thing keeping this Father and Daughter together is a loving wife and Mother. She tries to work out things between them but a tragedy makes that seemingly impossible. The Daughters firm is protecting the car owners. The case is refiled when too many gas tank explosions cause deaths and maiming. I do not want to give away more but whet your appetite for a good thriller. There is cursing in this movie but people are angry, frustrated and lying. Take a chance. Enjoy the ride, I know I did.

5.0 out of 5 starsA Powerful Story which Draws you in!
Verified purchase
This movie, from thirty years ago, is very, very well conceived and executed! It revolves around a powerful story: a person made lame in an auto accident is suing the manufacturer for negligence in design. But because of the various members of the two legal teams, it becomes much more of a complex story. The plaintiff, on the surface, appears to have a very weak case. However, one of the attorneys for the auto company discovers an obscure set of test notes from the company, which could turn the case upside down. The movie is essentially about how that piece of evidence is handled.

What I did not realize is that this product is NOT valid for dvd players in the United States. It won't
play. So, I paid for a product I can not use. I opened the package, so I am stuck. I contacted a friend
who agreed to take it and adapt it to his machine. I have 2 dvd units; one is geared for standard discs
and the other for Blue-Ray. I usually do not have problems ordering; it is not the fault of the seller.
It was my error AG

I purchased this DVD, and didn't get around to watching it until two and a half months after my purchase. This DVD doesn't work, and there is a sixty day return policy (which I was unaware of) from Moviemars. If you buy from them I would suggest you checkin out immediately. This was the first time I've purchased a DVD and it didn't work. Very disappointing!!!!!
