Gabriela Epstein is the creator of the New York Times bestselling graphic novel adaptation of Claudia and the New Girl by Ann M. Martin. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in illustration and has worked as a character designer for TV animation. FYI: Confusing and suggestive content that introduces LGBTQ+ to girls. This is written for an audience between 8-12 years old.

Towards the beginning, when Claudia first meets the “new girl,” she talks to her grandma about it as if she were talking about a cute boy she’d met. Photo shows her grandma’s response.

Jackie’s “mom”, who Claudia babysits for, looks like a male.

The new girl is very controlling and dominant. See photos attached.
Not at all like the originals.

My kids love all the Babysitter Club Books

My kids are 7, 9, and 11 and they have been reading these graphic novels since they came out. They love them and they were very pleased with this one too. I think the 11 year old has almost outgrown the series (also he is a boy so that may be contributing to it too). The seven year old has been looking at the pictures since he was young, and he can now read the stories too. Overall I think these are positive books, where the themes are not overly mature for their ages (which I sometimes ran into with other graphic novels, such as Smile and Drama). Overall really pleased.

Idk how i like the book. I love the Baby sitters club books and graphic novels but in this book the pictures were not as good as they cold have been . I liked the old Raina telgimier books that was my favorite author of the baby sitters club. I would like of the book was on another topic . The book i wish they would make would be Stacey and the cheerleaders. I am a cheerleader and it is the best sport in my opinion because you get to do flips . Although the book was good. i would like if the author was more descripted about why Jackie brother went to tumbling classes. That makes no sense whatsoever ?
