Brilliant Retelling!

Not what I was expecting but what a thrill! I read some reviews where people thought the cover was misleading --How? And other reviews that they were expecting the Tim Curry movie. Umm, READ before you buy. Giving this movie 1 star because the Viewer didn't do their due diligence is NIT the fault of this amazing film. The writer(s) is/are genius. I only rented this film to watch with my kids but now I need to buy it because I NEED to own this movie.

This is NOT Clue the movie with Tim Curry!
Verified purchase
Why would they allow them to make this look like the movie. We got tricked into ordering it because we thought it was the movie Clue. I really hate being deceived. Also, who would watch that? It sounds awful.

Not a Remake
Verified purchase
I went into this movie thinking it was a remake for the mystery movie by the same title; it is not. So since i already spent the $4 i decided to just watch it. Once you get into it the story actually isnt that bad. Its a kids movie, and so it goes without saying its campy and the acting isnt the best. BUT honestly the kids give it their all and the story is actually interesting. It feels a lot like a Nickelodeon movie or one of the Spy Kids films. I would give it a watch if youre into that sort of early 2000's kids against adults sort of movie. Thought if you are looking for a murder mystery movie this is NOT the movie for you.

Not Impressed At All
Verified purchase
I was not impressed with this movie at all. The only thing worse than that, is I also have no way to even remove it from my list. Now, I have a constant reminder of a mistake I made in purchasing this movie.

fun for the family

Very entertaining movie. Definitely a very enjoyable young persons movie....but I'm not a young person anymore and I was very entertained too! I can't single any of the young performers out because they were all terrific (a couple faces looked familiar to me). In a nutshell, these 6 young people witness what appears to be a murder and when told that there is no evidence of any foul play and they will be suspended from school, they set out to investigate. I will be honest some was very obvious and some were a surprise...just when you think the movie is done another mystery comes from it. Fun, sweet and thoughtful it is a fun time for the family. Clean as a whistle. Love the twin bad guys, haha.

Horrible. And I was thinking based on the title that it was a reboot of the 1985-86 version with Tim curry. That was what I was hoping for. The film left me disappointed and wanting my money back. Highly recommend you DONT buy this or even rent it.

Deceptive title, deceptive box art. 20 bucks down the drain.

Intentionally deceptive thumbnail. Only ordered because I was frustrated by Starz using the real version of the movie to shill their service. I can't believe I was dumb enough to buy this stupid movie. BEWARE!

Clue-less-than worth anyone's time.

No clue as to how this was ever written or produced. Clearly the clueless writers had no insight into a five-year-old's intellect. If you are anywhere past - - or before - - that age, take a hard pass.
