Noelle and Stefani are truly two voices of reason in the crazy world of health and fitness. They embrace eating more food, not less, and that was so eye-opening to me when I first heard their podcast earlier this year. I am happy to support their work by buying the book.
This book has been very eye opening for me. Apparently, I need to eat more! It took me a while to really process that and realize how stressed out my body is from restricting food. I continue to struggle with eliminating food for a period of time because of my environment. However, this book reframes your mindset by saying, “It’s not that I can’t have this food, I’m choosing not to because it makes me feel poorly”. It helps! Only criticism of this book is that I would have liked the reintroduction piece of the book to be more visual. Maybe using an algorithm. Other than that I’m a really happy reader. Love these ladies!
Noelle and Stefani present such a different message than we’re all used to hearing. Health does not equal starvation and lower body fat. It also does not equal gluttony. Our bodies are nowhere near as simple as we sometimes make them out to be, ESPECIALLY for women. I found Stefani and Noelle’s various resources at the perfect time in my life. They have helped me take so many more productive steps forward in my health and mindset. I recommend their resources, including this book, to all of my girlfriends. For the book specifically, they offer both grace and scientific logic in their nutrition and mindset suggestions, the recipes are phenomenal, and the workouts are simple and quick to do at home!
I have been a long time listener of Noelle and Stefani's podcast and was excited for the release of this book. I was not disappointed. The book echoes their messages of self-love and having a healthy relationship with food. The recipes are amazing, as well as the fitness program. There is so much information and resources packed into this book. It's truly a gift.
I love this book! I recently discovered Noelle and Stefani's podcast and I raved about them to my husband. He bought me their book as a gift and I then also bought the kindle edition as it makes it easy to take with me on the go (for the workouts and recipes). Coconuts & Kettlebells did not disappoint! As a nurse I find both mental and physical well-being SO important. So many fitness and nutrition books try to get you to focus on weight loss or looking a certain way, but Stefani and Noelle really try to teach you and guide you through fueling your body with nourishing foods and learning what works best for your body. Their calorie/macro minimum approach to nutrition and exercise is completely changing how I see fitness and nutrition. Their book (and podcasts) are changing my habits! They are inspiring me in my health and wellness journey to appreciate my body for all it can do, and teaching me to take care of myself both mentally and physically. Thanks to their approach and this book I have backed off from the over-exercising and am focusing on total mind and body wellness. Last, but certainly not least, are the easy and delicious recipes! I try to make 1-2 of their recipes each week and so far, my husband and I love them all! Thank you so much! I will certainly be sharing your book with family and friends this holiday season! 😊
This book is fantastic! Such a well written book with beautiful recipes that breaks diet culture standards for both men and women! Not only are the recipes delicious and creative but this book includes information on eating what makes your body feel good. This book also includes kettlebell workouts that you can do anywhere no matter what level you are. Oh, and did I mention these ladies wrote about mindset! It’s ground breaking, these women are cracking the code on living well fed with a positive outlook on life.
I've been listening to the Wellfed Women (aka Paleo for Women) podcast for some time now and enjoy their weekly banter and shared information. This book is like a beautiful mashup of both Noelle and Stefani's knowledge from the podcast wrapped up in a lovely binding. It has everything you need to get started moving forward toward a healthy lifestyle that works for your individual body! The book does a great job discussing the different macro nutrients each of us need and the science behind so much of what goes on inside us day-to-day. It gives you an easy to follow 4-week challenge to follow along with recipes and exercises to implement. None of it is overwhelming either! I have not had a chance to utilize the exercises yet, but plan on doing so soon. I have tried several of the recipes and so far have enjoyed them!
TLDR; This is a great book to purchase. It's an easy comprehensible read with loads of practical steps a person can use to find a healthy lifestyle that fits their needs!
This book is packed full of information. I have been worried about trying out a food plan because I am a newly breastfeeding mom. This book even gives suggested calorie minimums for breastfeeding moms! So far I have tried the breakfast pumpkin muffins and the mug cakes and both turned out SO delicious. I also did the leggings workout yesterday and it was AWESOME! I’m the perfect amount of sore today!
This book is an amazing resource! The first half of the book is full of information! It's not just about nutrition here, but mindset as well!! It is also not a one stop shop! This is where people should tailor their nutrition based on their current needs.
Next...the recipes! I haven't had a chance to make much, but can't wait to make more! The recipes are clearly written, seem easy to make, and the photos are gorgeous!!
Noelle has done a fantastic job with the fitness section. There are clear instructions for workouts that you can do at home!!
