“Feels like the TV show 24 on the page.” —Associated Press
#1 New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brad Thor presents his greatest thriller ever—an action-packed literary tour de force!
Hidden deep within one of the world’s most powerful organizations is a secret committee with a devastating agenda. Its members are afforded incredible protections—considered elites, untouchables.
But when four seconds of video is captured halfway around the world and anonymously transmitted to DC, covert wheels are set in motion, and counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath is tapped to undertake the deadliest assignment of his career.
What begins as a favor will evolve into a globe-spanning drama of highly personal stakes played out against a backdrop of stunning international intrigue, duplicitous political gamesmanship, and the darkest, most clandestine fears of the espionage world.
With razor-sharp plotting, richly rendered characters, and heart-stopping surprises on every page, Thor isn’t just at the top of his game—he owns the entire genre.

I've been reading since 10am, and now the sun is brightening the sky in my eastern coastal state at 5:45am, and I dont know if I will be able to sleep. There are too many parallels between this novel and current reality.
I can only hope, and trust, that somewhere out there there is an Operator, a man of honor, who lives by a code of conduct, and relies on his faithful and able team mates, who is doing the things that I have never been trained to do, but know enough to know need to be done, so that one day I may fulfill my regular grocery list at the store again, see my doctor in person again instead of by video appointment, hug a friend or family member again without wondering where they have been and who they have interacted with in the previous 14 days. There must be a man. A team. I believe that there is. And that may be the only reason I can sneak in a few hours of sleep before tomorrow's... today's, routine begins.
The only easy day was yesterday.
The Captain.
The general plot involves a group using biological warfare against the world, and of course, Scott Harvath must save the day, his friends, and the world.
Code of Conduct is one of Thor’s best, if not the best. He has done extensive and detailed research and I would guess a lot of late night homework to make this novel a very worthwhile read.
I give Code of Conduct a strong 5-star rating.
Along the way, Horvath has philosophical challenges he debates and overcomes, some with reservations. It's impressive how Thor has Horvath consider multiple sides to issues; recognizing the grey areas and yet finding a way forward.
Suffice to say, I am looking forward to more from Brad Thor.
