Great K-drama, one of my favorite lead female characters out of any k-drama
Verified purchase
i thought that this k-drama was very endearing, i love the female character Eun Chan,so cute and bouncy, i found my self smiling when ever she came on screen.. it was a bit difficult for me to get in to this drama, i felt it was a bit slow, there are times where i felt each episode could have been edited down, i really didn't get in to this drama till the 2-3 episode or so, but after that i couldn't stop watching, over all a great kdrama.

my only compliant is the story board / directing their are secen thatfeel a bit medicore, times when they extent scene far longer then need be and the story board( though this is more a personal issue) i felt the hook (that which keeps viewers watching) was misplaced, i would have prefer more development of Han and Eun in the being and then introduce the dynamic of the friends and others...

After 9 years, finally got around to finishing.
Verified purchase
Been waiting several years to actually get around to finishing this drama.

For those of you that are saying, "Oh, I hope there's a second season," or, "Another drama that continues on this story in some way or form," take it from a Korean right here, right now.

Stop that thinking. With Korean dramas, it's EXTREMELY rare that there's a continuation of a story. For ANY of the KDramas. And this show was done years and years ago, so it's not likely that this drama will have another remake for decades and centuries to come most likely than not.

Lived up to the hype
Definitely lived up to the hype. When it said it was arguably one of the most watched and popular KDramas of 2007, I doubted it. But after watching it, I can totally believe it and understand it. While some may not think that the lead female looks like a guy, I think that's what made it better. When the reveal came around, they all were kind of like 'how the heck did we not know?' and that was the best part. If she had been too manly, it wouldn't have made for the cute romance that it was. The chemistry between the two leads was incredible. The childish nature of one who is trying to be serious mixed with the childish nature of one who doesn't want to be. They did a great job making it believable that these two could fall for each other.

Quite different form typical K-dramas, in interesting and fun way
This one was so different (in fun ways) from other Korean dramas I've watched. Since the male lead spends a lot of the series thinking the female lead is actually male, that leads to some complex and interesting interactions. The relationship between them ranged from adorable to troubled to deeply caring. And the setting of the coffee bar - more middle class workplace setting instead of headquarters of rich conglomerate or such (Boys Over Flowers, Secret Garden, The Master's Sun, soooo many others) - was a really nice change of pace. Lots of fun.

This was one of the better kdramas I've seen
This was one of the better kdramas I've seen. While the plot and some of the situations are not original, the acting was great and the show was full of quiet moments that were realistic, sweet, sad... I appreciated that the real drama came from the protagonists's own feelings and characters, rather than from the outside forces (society, parents, villains.)

Great fun to watch!
Enjoyed it so much the first time. I am now watching it again. Very few dramas even come close to it.

Over the top acting...story line slow.
Over the top acting, the story line it s bit slow. Don't understand the hype!?! Some actors do an admirable job (Gong Yoo), while others ham-it-up. However, the premise of the story is worthy. I'd like to see a remake with improved cinematography and acting.

The best Korean Drama I have ever watched!!
While watching this show, you can tell the writers, the actors/actresses, and the directors all truly care about this show. Everything flowed together naturally, and there were no lulls in the plot. The chemistry on the set was amazing. Especially between the main characters! I always go back to watch this, and I've watched a lot of k dramas.
