Henry Cavills performance is the only thing worth watching
Verified purchase
*spoiler alert* The only reason I gave this four stars is because Henry Cavills performance. The rest of the actors just were terrible. No one seemed to care. He gave it some excitement. The movie was not written well. The storyline was all over the place. They should have had a not made the girl character a sister. They had the opportunity to create a lot of sexual tension and more with Cavills character. Instead they took the wrong road and ruined the film. Also, Bruce Willis was very disappointing. I know he could have done better, yet his character was not believable and looked like he just wanted to end the filming. It’s a bad film, but it’s worth watching a young Henry Cavill.

A BIG waste of time!

Farfetched plot and directing far beyond stupid, poorly played, the supposedly Israeli Mossad agents spoke with a terrible accent that didn't remotely resemble an Israeli one, or even any middle-eastern accent.

I'm actually surprised that the producers even bothered to film it in Spain. They should have done it in Mexico and save some $, for I'm certain that the viewer for which this junk is intended wouldn't have noticed a difference.

...However, I've generously gave it 1 star for the very few scenic views of Spain.

Mossad agents portrayed 2b almost as dumb as the producers of this picture

LOL, the Israeli Mossad agents portrayed in this lame movie are supposedly almost as dumb as the producers of this picture, and just as clumsy as the director of this excuse for a film.

I’m simply shocked that so many supposedly great actors even accepted to have their names associated with this garbage.

...Hmmm, I guess greed for an extra $ goes a long way for the spineless ones.

Terrible movie -- avoid this, save two hours of life and do something else
Verified purchase
You might be fooled by the names of Willis and Weaver that there is a production-value, decent story, excitement, humor, or suspense. Well, rest assured none of those exists. I'm sure Willis and Weaver got fat checks to put their names on the movie and the producers got their money's worth by using their box office draw. Save yourself two hours of your life and do some crossword puzzles instead--you'll have a more exciting and satisfying time.

** SPOILER ALERT ** The formula for these movies is that the hero finds a love interest who supplies sexual tension, here that person ends up being the half-sibling and kills that possibility.

Poor acting & slow moving movie.

Not a good movie. Very slow moving!
For top A-list actors, Sigourney and Henry displayed poor acting. It was like they were forcing the scenes to be bigger than they really were. Bruce should have been more present. I have an idea for an alternate (better ending)!

Good movie if you just want to unwind with an action flick. I expected it to be more amusing (Bruce Willis always brings humor to his characters!). It starts a bit slow but picks up pace.

Henry Cavill does a phenomenal job depicting someone thrown into the world of espionage. His character has all the right skills and instincts, but he appropriately struggles with action sequences like a "normal" person who hadn't had years of training. (Not sure whether the writers/director intended for it to be amusing, but I got a kick out of it!)

In conclusion, it served its purpose and I liked it but I probably won't watch again.

Henry Cavill adds at least one Star.

I bought this movie for one reason: Henry Cavill. I loved him in Superman and more recently The Witcher. A bit too much violence for my taste. With out Henry Cavill the movie would have been 3 stars at best. Good ( but not great) movie for HC fans.

Could Have Been Better!

I absolutely adored Henry Cavill in The Tudors and when this movie came out I was happy to see him get a leading role. He is the main character in this movie..not Bruce Willis. There is a lot of edge of your seat action and Henry's character gets put through a ringer. But the movie itself, while enjoyable to watch, just never really told you anything. It was a let down and I don't believe it had anything to do with Henry's part or his acting which was perfectly fine. This was a script issue and not a very good one and he deserves better as well as Bruce Willis. I think many fans of Henry won't consdier it a waste of time but if you aren't a fan then you will be disappointed in this film. Aside from all that there is a lot of action that is enjoyable to watch. Now if you want to see Henry in a major leading man role go see "Man of Steel". Its a wonderful movie and he is a fantastic new Superman!
