Come: The Fight Club, Book 1 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
Katy Marks has worked hard for years to make partner at her law firm and be accepted in a man’s world. She hasn’t had much time for play. Now she has a stalker, one of the firm’s partners who hopes to entice her to gain promotion by sleeping with him. Backed into a corner, she grabs an unexpected opportunity. She wards off his unwanted advances by plastering herself against the sexy man leaning casually against the wall outside her uncle’s gym.
Rafe Wesson is stunned by one look at the sexy woman so totally out of place in the gym and finds himself flattened by his best friend and sparring partner. Scrambling to ensure he gets a chance to speak with her, he instead finds himself KO’d by a kiss that rocks his world and hardens him in all the right places.
Katy isn’t Rafe’s type. She’s far too innocent. Besides, she’s the gym owner’s niece. But two dates don’t dampen his desire or release her from his thoughts. Rafe has personal rules against sleeping with a woman before they are fully informed about his dominant ways. But Katy is testing his patience. She wants him, but he fears she won’t be as persistent when she finds out about his preferred lifestyle.
Rafe tries to step away from her, but he can’t ignore the unknown threat that stalks her, and time is running out. Someone wants Katy dead. And Rafe wants Katy...very much alive.

The only reason I started this book was because I'd just given up on a really, REALLY bad one, and this one started out with appealing people and a rather cute story at first. Hah! Was I ever wrong about that.
First of all, the author portrays this as a Fight Club book about an MMA fighter, but she obviously doesn't know the first thing about MMA and couldn't be bothered to do even the smallest bit of research. If MMA fighters actually fought as often as the author thinks, they'd all be dead. Training and fighting in matches are WAY different! I'm surprised the author could spell MMA.
But when the story really turned gross was when they finally consummated their attraction for one another. The ensuing "sex" scenes are just plain awful. For example, he praised her hygiene for having shaved "a week ago!" Seriously? Is the author unaware that hair grows? And I don't want to get too graphic here, but the author also has a VERY strange idea about the female anatomy. Has she ever actually had sex? It doesn't seem like it. A couple of her descriptions made me ill. And I like a good, graphic scene, so it wasn't the abundance of sex that bothered me in the least.
It's just personal taste, so I can't fault the author for writing a book about a D/s relationship, even though they don't interest me in the least. I should have done my homework and realized this book wasn't something I'd be interested in. But it was free, so I accepted the offer. What I can fault though is the author's totally unrealistic portrayal of that kind of relationship. Katy, the heroine, is so out of character it's incredible. It's just plain stupid. And the men in the story are nice guys, but they simply do NOT act like real people at all. I know it's fantasy, but this is also just stupid.
I will not bore myself with anything else by this author. Once has been enough. Buyer beware, even at the price of $0.00!
Did I mention... this book is stupid?
Rafe is an MMA fighter known as the Dragon. He is HOT and he is a Dom, We get into his lifestyle later in the book
Katy is the niece of Joe the owner of the gym where Rafe trains, Katy has come to visit her uncle and when she walks in
Rafe is so entranced by her his sparring partner and best friend Mason knocks him on his a$$. Rafe rushes to get showered
and changed so he can possibly see Katy before she leaves, He is waiting outside the gym when she comes out. When Katy
sees the Lexus out in the parking lot she walks over to Rafe grabs him and kisses him, It is ELECTRIC for them both. The guy in
the Lexus takes off and Katy tells Rafe that it is a boss of hers who is stalking her.
The story that progresses from here for me was great. I LOVED how the author slowly brought out Rafe's Dom lifestyle and how Katy absorbed it. I LOVED the "Fight Club" guys as well. I think one scene that really was great for me was when Rafe had Katy in a scene at Extreme and asked Rider to come in and participate, I felt right then that Katy was in love with Rafe even though we didnt get that for a bit later. I hope to be able to read about the other 5 guys soon, I liked Mason alot as well and Jenna, Katy's best friend. I would HIGHLY recommend this book. It is not your typical MMA book and not your typical BDSM book either. It has a great mix of both and a great plot as well.
Oh my, this was such a hot and tender read. I loved it, hot where it was very appropriate and tender in the way Rafe treats his woman. This was one of the first books I read about a love-story in a dominant world and I was fascinated by the strict rules the clubs have. I also was in awe of Ms Jameson for writing her stories so convincingly and I believe it is thoroughly researched. So, her stories I think are very well written, thoroughly composed with great storylines. About the book: Kathy is the heroine, she worked very hard to make partner at her law firm and be accepted in what is still considered a man’s world. She does not play around, she simply doesn’t have the time. Now she has a stalker, one of the firm’s partners who intends to tempt her to sleep her way to the top. The easiest way to ward off the advances of the unwanted gentleman is to plaster herself against the sexy man leaning casually against the wall outside her uncle’s gym.
Rafe Walker took one look at the sexy woman, totally out of place in the gym and finds himself flattened onto the mat by his best friend and sparring partner. Scrambling to ensure he gets a chance to speak with her, he finds himself beyond stunned when she greets him with a kiss that rocks his world and hardens him in all the right places.Katy isn’t Rafe’s type. She’s far too innocent. Besides she’s the gym owner’s niece. But Rafe can’t forget her. Two dates don’t dampen his (or her) desire any either and what more: someone is stalking her.

The characters are all fantastic and there's a great back story.
I thought it might get a bit repetitive but it doesn't and I can't wait to read the underground series.
Although this is pegged as an MMA figher romance, there's not that much fighting. However, if you love a whole of alpha male goodness, you've come (pardon the pun) to the right place.
It started well, Katy is having problems with one of the partners at the law firm where she works, he's expecting her to try and sleep her way to the top and is following her home, just to make sure she gets home safely of course. To throw him off track Katy kisses Rafe and gets way more than she expected.
Rafe is also thrown and wants more in fact he's amazed at just how much he wants her but will she want him when she discovers what he needs.
This book started well but the more I read the more it seemed to be missing something .
The first part is a romance it's nice and the characters are good together, although I wasn't a massive fan of Katy having I sort herself out but then I liked that in the beginning he didn't push in fact what he did was the complete opposite of pushing. I like the dual POV's as well but, and here I contradict myself a bit because while I liked that he wanted her so much, that he was afraid she'd bolt once she knew and the thought and care he put into every date but once the book changed and became more focused on his lifestyle then all this took away from him as a Dom and I had trouble reconciling his earlier thoughts with the man he was. I like romance, I need an HEA and I like a man that falls in love totally but especially where BDSM is concerned I like an uncompromising alpha male huge domineering and totally in charge.
I also expected the MMA would play a larger part its really only there to introduce the guys.
This story is very different from most BDSM stories - which I am not a fan of. The fact that - for once, the girl makes an informed choice which has in no means been influenced by the dominating man, is exactly the reason why I read this to the end and also gave it 5 stars.
The undeniable attraction of the two characters and his struggle to stay away because of the differences in their lifestyles warmed my heart and won me over.
There is real danger and the two of them are thrown together for better or for worse.
Knowing that all the men in this series are part of the BDSM scene makes it unlikely that I will read the rest of the series. I am tempted to read the next book in the series after the way this one ended but not sure if I will finish it. Check my review on Perv, later to see what I thought and whether I finished it.
the stalker was pointless but could have been better if more had been written about it.
the bdsm scenes were unemotional as was their whole relationship. the story was well written but as ive mentioned repeatedly the lack of emotion stopped me from enjoying the story.
