I almost did not consider buying these books since some other reviews suggested it did not seem it came with the online content; however, I am very glad that I did buy it. To access the online content, you must follow the instructions actually inside the book. (The information on the cover is misleading) The cover says to go to kaptest.com/moreonline. However, inside, it says to go to kaptest.com/booksonline. Once you go to this second link, you scroll down and click "register" next the the 7-subject MCAT review book. From here, they ask for your name, email address, and then they ask you for a very specific word in the book. It's pretty random such as "in the biochem book, what's the last word in the last paragraph on page 47) *disclaimer, that is not the question it asked me, it's just an example* From here, it has you do a 2 hour diagnostic test to see where you are at. The online content also comes with 3 full length MCAT tests.
I have yet to take the MCAT, but these books are already making me feel less overwhelmed now that I have a "plan." :)
However, this edition is almost identical to even the 2015 edition (with a few minor changes i.e..learning objectives at the beginning of every chapter). So if you can get another edition at cheaper price, do so.
Cons - I have already found 4-5 errors in studying the first chapter of each book. They are small (i.e. accidental use of intramolecular instead of intermolecular, improper application of a particular psych theory, flawed +/- entropy calculation, etc.) but every moment counts when studying and it would be nice not to have to investigate these things for an extra 10 min and just be able to trust the book. I am not very fresh on the material so if I am able to catch things, they should be able to as well. Also, it is over-detailed at many points and you will read/highlight an entire paragraph only to have a little "expertise" bubble on the side of the margin to say "MCAT doesn't need you to know this!" I get what they're trying to do - but they should use footnotes, not build all this non-essential info into the text.
Summary: If you have time to kill and/or need a deep review, get these books. But if you're feeling green and have less than 3 months to study, you may prefer a more concise series.
