Oh. My. God. This book! It had me right from the beginning and couldn't put it down until I was done. This story was amazing, I completely felt for these characters and grew to love them both so much. This book is told from Sage and Jackson's POV so it's even more awesome!

I loved Sage so much. She didn't want to become an escort but she was literally about to become homeless so she had no choice. She is a sweet girl and cares so much for the people that mean something to her, yet she is always somehow getting walked on. I like that when she meets Jackson she starts to grow a backbone more and challenges him all the time. He says hurtful things to her on a regular and she tries her best to stay strong and not let him control her life but in essence, he does, if he doesn't want her anymore, she has no job. I just love who she becomes more as the story progresses, I like that she changes for the better after meeting Jackson, because that's how it should be.

Oh, Jackson. I am not going to lie, I hated him so much through the beginning of the story. He was so rude and inconsiderate, and I get it was a business deal for him and he was paying for her services, but still. Once he found out about her circumstances and why she was there, he could have been a little more understanding and not have been purposely a jerk at times. Him having the constant need to remind her she is a prostitute that he is paying is not the way to win us ladies over. But as time went on and he became more gentle and started to fall for her before he even realized it was happening, I grew to really love him and how he took care of Sage when she wasn't able to take care of herself.

These two are probably one of my favorite book couples. Their love for each other is beautiful and the way they fight each other is funny and how much they care for each other is passionate and enough to make any girl wish she had that. I absolutely recommend this book, it was amazing!!

When I received this book I was beyond excited!! I am no stranger to Alice's books, having read Unspeakable Truths and loving it, I didn't even hesitate to read this book..

Jackson Stone is a man who has his mind on one thing, running his empire and keeping himself satisfied... Tired of the one night stand, or the whiny women always wanting more, he turns to a friend who owns a business for the paid pleasure...

Sage Turner is a girl down on her luck.. Having moved from her hometown in Indiana with her boyfriend and his daughter to New York, everything was fine until she caught him sleeping with the neighbor. Now on her own and struggling to make ends meet she answers an add for Masseuse wanted... Thinking she's going to a spa to do an interview she meets Victoria, but it's nothing like she expected.. It's nothing but an upscale escort service where you service one client...

Appalled Sage can't get away fast enough, but not before Victoria gives her her card and tells her if she changes her mind to give her a call..

Well as you might have guessed Sage has no choice but to contact Victoria as she's lost her job due to her credit.. This is where she meets the delectable and brooding Jackson Stone...

From there the whirlwind affair takes off and what a ride it is, Jackson and Sage both have trust issues.. Jackson doesn't allow anyone to get close, and Sage having been hurt before isn't looking for love..

But when fates collide you just have to go with it and see where you end up... I absolutely loved Jackson, even though he was an a## at times... And Sage is such a sweet and caring person.

Misunderstandings and lack of communication tears them apart, but Love and Determination will bring them back together.. 5 Fabulous stars!!!

4-4.5 stars. Sage has fallen into a tough situation and desperate times call for desperate measures until she can get back up on her own two feet again. Exploring Sage's inner conflict with becoming an escort was a real strength in this book because Sage had moral boundaries for herself, but choosing between being homeless or not pushed her in that direction. Even then, she hated what she was putting herself through. Jackson is her one and only client and without sugarcoating it, he's a real a$$hole but I didn't fault him for it because he knew this about himself and the reader knows why he doesn't believe in love or trust other people. He's got a sharp bite when it comes to making comments that can reduce a person's worth. He may be wealthy and successful, but he doesn't like clingy or gold digging women so an escort meets his needs without the woman requesting more. Their first encounter is harsh and cold, I felt so bad for Sage but admired her grit to go through with it because Jackson was mean and rough. Jackson is a control freak, especially when it comes to his emotions, he basically prides himself on not having any because they are for the weak. He constantly reminds Sage who's the boss and he likes to push her buttons because any time she tries to maintain even a small semblance of control, he takes it from her. However, it's obvious that his overbearing need to dominate Sage comes from an inner vulnerability that he has for her in particular and it drives him wild and makes him feel reckless and he hates that. Sage is really not escort material, she's not over confident, she's not seductive and she is definitely not on board with selling herself to multiple men. In this case, she only has Jackson and because she needs the money, she can play the role when necessary, but most of the time she is just simply Sage, someone who is very independent and desires to be loved, especially with her sad upbringing. I admired that she wanted more yet never asked and always gave of herself, but when push comes to shove, she does stand up for herself. When Jackson allows himself to care, he actually cares a lot and he has the potential to be so much more for Sage. I liked watching Jackson transform because he was able to discover firsthand that love is not for the weak and that maybe he does't have a say in who he falls in love with, but he can be what that person needs as long as he wants to be.
