This is a movie that you'll either love, or absolutely hate. I personally feel it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen and easily a top 5 Xmas movie for me. It's hilarious, but a geared toward a very specific type of humor.

I am no handy-cam movie fan either, so I was shocked how much I laughed in this. It's bizarre, it's cringe-worthy, and you can tell the actors are just having a bit of fun with this flick. It's not winning any awards. It feels like a long sketch comedy show, but personally I couldn't be happier watching it every year.

Let's see, infidelity, incest, alcoholism, physical violence, destruction of property, lies, anger, resentment….. Merry, Merry! Not only is this my favorite Holiday movie, it is quickly becoming one of my all time favorites. A word of warning (if my opening sentence didn't spell it out)… If you don't like dark movies, STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE! If you like things like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Trailer Park Boys or Strangers with Candy, then this will be right up your alley. I love Christmas Vacation (til now, the benchmark for modern holiday comedies) but I like to get weird and Coopers Christmas oozes all the dark, awkward, awful weirdness anyone could ever want. The writing is quite genius. The character Uncle Nick, played by Mike Beaver, has some of the funniest lines I've ever heard and even when he is seemingly blathering on about nothing, he is dropping some of the craziest and most inappropriate things you couldn't think of if you had a million years. This isn't for everyone but if dark comedy is your thing this is well worth at least 1 watch.

I have introduced so many people to this movie over the years and everyone has loved it! In my opinion this is the funniest Christmas movie ever made, but I wouldn't recommend it for everyone since it is a bit raunchy.

I first seen this movie 3 or 4 years ago, and I make sure to watch it at least once each Holiday season.

Pretty bad, raunchy cult movie (think Christmas Vacation meets Porky's, but with some sharper wit). Even for its rudeness, it somehow really clicks. It reminds me of old SC TV from Canada. It has become a xmas tradition with our friends (3rd year now). Be forewarned it is not a family movie! Have a drink and let loose with the wrongness!

I got suckered in with Dave Foley. I should have read the description. She's somehow more irritating than Larry the Cable Guy. If you can stomach that, it may be better than one star for you.

Kind of smutty without being funny.

This is the most fun I have had all Christmas week, seriously hilarious and it felt so good to laugh!!!!
