I see a couple ads for the the 4000D airflow and I'm sold. Did a little research and took a chance knowing that it might not fit all of my components. Got the white one because i have a white build. The color scheme matches my corasir keyboard perfectly. Same white and grey.
Case is a good build quality. Not flimsy and cheap at all. Its nice and solid. Has more than enough room to manage all of the cables in the back and fit all of my drives in it. The front mesh is thin enough to allow for a lot of airflow but also thick enough to grab dust.
Back to my main dilemma. This case WILL allow you to use a corsair aio with corsair rgb ram, just as a corsair case should. They allowed for enough clearance. The caveat is that it will allow a 240mm aio but not a 280mm aio if you are using corsair rgb ram. Which works out for me perfectly.
Before showing the temps here are the specs.
32GB corsair vengence rgb
Corsair h100i rgb platinum se
6 corsair LL120RGB fans
Temps during gaming hover around 60c at most for the cpu. Gpu never goes above 60c. When folding the cpu might get to 70c at 4.5Ghz, 100% all cores. This case allows for great airflow. And the aio is great also. If you're curious i have the aio mounted on the top.
I wouldve given this case 5 stars but it did come with a good little scratch on the glass panel. So I'm only giving it 4.
Will update this review in the future if anything changes.
This is a great case. The side panels are held in in a way that you don't even really need the screws. Plenty of room inside the case and behind it for cable management. Only tools you need are a screwdriver for the motherboard.
The one glaring issue is the front dust filter. It rubs up against the front fans and you need to rig up a way for the filter to stay clear of the fans.
That's not a big deal, but this may help Corsair and others realize that this is a great case otherwise.
Note: If mounting your GPU vertically, there isn't much room for your PCIe cable underneath your video card before you hit the bottom of the case. I got the Thermaltake cable and it goes straight down. I need to return it and get a flush fitted cable.
One issue I encountered was that the front mesh intake filter was too loose. The center mounted fan was brushing against it as a result and it was audible. Part of the issue is that there is no central structural support in the plastic frame which allows for the mesh to either get stretched or pushed in at some point during manufacturing or shipment. I can also see this happening over time through maintenance or aging. I made a temporary fix by cutting 4 peices of 1/8" thick adhesive foam and applied to the front of the center fan's frame. This helped push out the mesh so it wouldn't be against the fan. I contacted Corsair by email and they opened an RMA to send me a replacement of this part. I received the replacement about a week after contacting support. I could tell it wasn't loose like the original part and it worked perfectly. I noticed on the bottom left corner it says 4000X as opposed to 4000D. Not a big deal as it fits the same and is hidden. They probably don't have spare parts yet specifically for this model since it just came out.
Otherwise a great case, just hope they fix this issue. I know I'm not the only one who had this problem.

Granted, it says nothing in the description about the Motherboard Accessory being included, but the fact is, I have sent several questions to them asking about this, its even on their website as a product, but their is no way to order it? Now if you wanted to have more then 2 SSDs, you can use the Hard Drive tray included, but you have very, very little cable clearance if your using a 180mm PSU such as the RM850. You can move the hard drive tray over 1cm to create some more room, but not if you have a RAD mounted in the front.
Also, the fact they did not include the plate that covers that part of the shroud is beyond me. If you are using the front as an intake only with Fans, you will have a gaping hole in the shroud unless you buy the plate from corsair (its not even available to purchase yet!).
The front filter is extremely flimsy, if you are using fans with high static pressure, I can assure you the constant flapping of the filter will annoy you. You also only get two fans included. Strange that an airflow case only has two fans, but can house 6? Also the fans they come with? You cant purchase those separately either. You only have 1 USB slot at the front, granted it clearly shows that, but really? Just 1? you couldn't even add a USB 2.0 slot?
Corsair has made a nice looking case with decent airflow at a fairly low cost, however, competitors cases at the same price point offer far, far more value for your money (Fractals Meshify C). Corsair really skimped on some of the basics to make this case as cheap as it is. Whilst these are all small things in hindsight, combining them together gives this case more issues then it is worth.
After you purchase the PSU Shroud Plate, the Accessory Board for the back (when either are available!) and possibly even a front USB Hub, you would be better off just buying the more expensive case that has all of these included anyway!
I have returned my case.
1 star for the looks, 1 star for airflow.
There is a fault with the front dust filter which is loose and this pressed up against the fans causing a static noise.
I have had to open a complaint with Amazon to get this resolved as they wanted me to send the whole case back instead of sending out a working replacement dust filter!! An impossible task if you have a fully built custom water cooled computer. It is not viable.
This would not be a problem to resolve if purchasing direct from Corsair or buying from a PC retailer
The grey and white are a perfect match, and the yellow accents give it such a premium touch.
Happily, fits an NH-D15.
Thinking of replacing my main systems horribly designed for anything but looks, Corsair 500D.
Unlike a fair few other reviews, I have not experienced any problems with the case whatsoever, probably since I treat my possessions with care, so there isn't the chance of them breaking.
